The fact that this is groundbreaking information, to some, is proof that women are so far ahead of men in the game. This is why women won't marry a man that makes significantly less than them. This is why Oprah says she'll never get married.
Women are good at selling you on the bullshyt, but they know better. A lot of women call men nice guys because a lot of stuff we accept, they would never accept.
They want your income to constantly increase, and sometimes will even nag you about it, but will tell you that they don't have to lose weight because you met her this way
She's going to sell you on love and all the intangibles, just so she can get the ring and access to your assets. You would think that she would at least keep up the act; most do not.
Out of guilt, some will not even end the relationship. They just stop sleeping with you, cooking, cleaning, Etc. Hoping that you will end it, or cheat so they can leave you and they can frame it as if it's your fault things didn't work out.
Even though the logic is heavily flawed, Women are far more logical then we give them credit for.

My uncle was married to his ex for 11 years. They've been divorced for almost 30. She still gets half of his military retirement. I guess inflation has finally caught up with the money she's received and she's trying to contact him now on some let bygones be bygones, let's be friends shyt.

I don’t think $85K to $35K is a big enough gap to be able to request a prenup. I don’t think $85K is enough to be able to tell your wife she can stop working if she wanted to so why feel the need for a prenup if 9/10 she is still working to support herself anyway?

There's a difference between a Gender pay gap and someone who is a grown women in her 30s and up that can only obtain a 30k a year job. At some point there was something she was involved in that prevented her growth professionally. What did she do in her whole 20s? Nothing?
If you make $80k and you marry someone making $80k, you now have a household income of $160k. Sounds like more money to me.
