Depends on how much they're paying and the nature of the interview. Are y'all saying this big tech is three interviews stuff actually counting the lil recruiter chit chat as an interview?
Nah. I’ve interviewed with Amazon before. After the recruiter talk its one technical phone screen and then if you make it past that you have to go thru a marathon day of interviews, like 3-4 people.

If you really want the job, you'll jump through their hoops :manny:

3 interviews is excessive
these 2 statements are in conflict lol

why would you do something excessive? i'm not with that hoop jumping strategy. if a company acts excessive in the recruitment process it doesn't tell me that they will be a fair quality employer but rather entitled and exploitative.

Nah, once is enough, maybe twice. I’ve seen a job give my wife three interviews, ask her to make a PowerPoint about the industry’s direction, and write a short essay about what can be done to change the industry. It wasn’t a literary job either.

It just seems like these employers want to bs folks they have no intention of hiring.

So, eff three interviews.

Yeah, that's been my experience as well. As others have said - recruiter, technical, behavioral with senior leadership (multiple). fukking exhausting lmao.

That's ridiculous. I'm sorry you went through that.

And 3 interviews are excessive especially for the legal field. Smh

yeah this was in 2012 so I have no idea how they’ve changed recently. But I had to fly form London to San Fran and jet lag, nerves, etc just meant I flunked 2/3 of the interviews.

I’m with a major tech company now and it was 3 interviews. 2 technical and one with the manager just about HR and personal/career things.

Damn, that’s why I’m glad I went into nursing. They’re desperate for nurses everywhere, especially BSN, You make the rules, I had an interview for an L&D contract and I completely forgot and they asked me if I could do zoom since I wouldn’t make the in person interview, I couldn’t log into my zoom so we did a FT call and they hired me on the spot, met my salary requirements and gave me a 10k sign on bonus.
