Oddly enough me and my girl are going through interviews now. I’ll be at what equates to three interviews and she is going be closer to 5 if she gets it.

You want this job but are unwilling to take some time off to go to a final interview? You obviously don’t want the job. Company will focus on people who want the job.

This. Most I went through is 6. I think the number of rounds required for some of these jobs is ridiculous though. Especially if you have to travel.

I had 8 with Google and had to fly across the world for 5 of them.

Yea. I heard FAANG interview process is terrible. This shut should not happen. If you need that many interviews then you have to revamp your processes. This is ridiculous.

How much does it pay and how will it benefit your intended career path?

It is a job in finance law which I wanna get into and pay is better too.

Put it this way, I will get paid more than what I get in my current role even though I have years of work experience here.

Nah. I’ve interviewed with Amazon before. After the recruiter talk its one technical phone screen and then if you make it past that you have to go thru a marathon day of interviews, like 3-4 people.

Yeah that's two interviews. The lil phone talk with the recruiter you can even be short and kind of a dikk to them and they'll pass you right through anyway. Anything more than 2 real interviews and it's not worth it to me if they're paying less than 300k TC

in my current place of employment, we had engineers go through an hour of test, and at least 5 interviews w/ different team members after the test

I feel fortunate I only had the one before getting hired


when I was job hunting though, some places I had to go through 3-4 on-site ones (mostly before COVID hit)

I am in talent acquisition for big tech, 3 interviews is industry standard. 1 with the recruiter, 1 with the hiring manager, then either an additional team member of a director level to make sure you fit.

last few jobs I have gotten, I did multiple interviews the same day with different people. that way u don't have to come back for a second or third round.
