If you were unemployed and desperate for work then ofcourse but what if you already had a job?

Long story short, I have applied for this job that I really want. I had a initial interview through Zoom which went well.

Then I was invited to do this online questionnaire so they can see what my personality is like.

After this I was invited for a face to face interview which lasted over a hour and at the end I was told by the interviewer that he will be passing feedback to the Managing Director. He said the Managing Director would most likely want to meet me as well.

Here is where I stand. I have no issue having another remote meeting with the manager through Zoom but I would feel frustrated if this has to be face to face.

I think its unfair for me to book time off work again and travel there which by no means is close.

What are your thoughts about a third interview? I was previously only aware about a second interview in job applications lol
This a good sign . par for the course. The more interviews you do the better chance you have on getting the job. most likely the hiring manager(if you interviewed wit them already) already decided on you as one of the final candidates but wants to put you in front of more people(who youre going to work with) to get their opinion.

Normally the 3rd interview is just a formality. But I have run across companies where they make candidates due 3rd, 4th or even 5th interviews.

I always just contact the recruiter and tell them I'm no longer interested. I refuse to participate in a really lengthy interview process. Any company that can't easily make a decision between a handful of candidates is probably a dump.

these 2 statements are in conflict lol

why would you do something excessive? i'm not with that hoop jumping strategy. if a company acts excessive in the recruitment process it doesn't tell me that they will be a fair quality employer but rather entitled and exploitative.
He said he really wanted the job. So you do what you gotta do. To me 3 interviews is excessive. 2 separate thoughts

An interview goes both ways and gives you a chance to get a proper signal about the people you'll be working with and for. Having multiple is a good thing as long as it's not a ridiculous amount. The worst jobs I ever had were the ones with one or two interviews and I was not interviewing the interviewers.

OP ask if the next interview can be remote instead.
Be honest with them and tell them you have a big project going on and you can't invest in the commute.

I feel really lucky. At the company I work for, my interviews have all been "one and done".
You either rock it or you don't and no matter what you'll hear a response.

My thing is.. they’ll sometimes put you through 200 million interviews without any intention of hiring you.....

Honestly 3 interviews is on the low end for high paying jobs
Like people said in here software jobs usually have 1 hr screen, 1 coding screen, then a full day of 4-6 interviews as the final round
Worst I had was Affirm. I had four interviews and didn’t even get a final round cause they made me interview with two separate hiring managers to see if there was a team that needed me. their final round was also 7 interviews so 9 in total in normal cases and would been 11 in my case if I made it
They were paying $250k+ tho

Better be for atleast 6 figures if they want to pull that shyt. The hell they want 3 interviews for....these companies just like messing with people....back in the day all they did was 1 interview....now they want atleast 2 interviews, 10 references, 3 degrees and a history on you since you were born.
