If you were to put Steph Curry on the 2001 Sixers would they still make the finals?

Would Steph be able to take that bum ass Sixers team to the finals?

Iverson is quicker.... And what else? :patrice:

Better scorer? No
Decision maker? No
Finisher? No
Shooter?
Playing off the ball? No
Efficient? No

Iverson even admitted that his handles weren't as good as curry's

AI is faster and a better finisher (even though Curry scores at a higher percentage, AI scored over multiple trees)

A.i my nikka but curry is the better overall player but honestly I don't think anyone (maybe lebron) could take that team to the playoffs better yet the finals and win a game

this is why I was always upset with the KD move. I wanted to see Steph pushed to the limit of his greatness. I really believe he would have achieved it.

How much better did u expect him to be. Lebron and Kyrie were bad matchups for him and would have continued to be. He made the right move for his career. Son prolly wouldnt even be back in the finals the next year had KD stayed put.

I like how there's literally no logical explanation for Steph not being able to do it :russ:

The East had ZERO deep teams that year and Steph is more efficient and the spacing issues he generates makes his teammates shooting percentage skyrocket.

I hate to break it to you. I could give those Sixers 20 feet and they'd still be throwing up bricks. Curry ain't helping shyt with them. Iverson was the entire offense. Curry would have to shoulder that same load and he isn't durable enough.

:mjlol:Curry's gravity gets his teammates layups and dunks, that's why the Warriors score so many points in the paint

The sixers didn't play anybody.:gucci:

And the sixers had a winning record without Iverson that year

a lot of basic basketball principals go over yalls head

if you think steph curry would look the same surrounded by rec-league offensive talent, then :mjlol:

dudes would straight up ignore every single 76er and force them to beat them

Steph’s ability to be an offensive juggernaut with off-ball movement alone is huge. Stars that don’t need the ball to create for others are huge benefits for the offense. If you ever just focused on Curry even when he doesn’t have the ball, he’s causing HUGE defensive shifts and he NEVER stops moving.

People talk all this crap like “using screens” and the like but the ability to maneuver like Curry does and use angles for screens to maximize his scoring is straight insane shyt.

Even if Curry is missing shots, his sheer gravity alone is opening up easy offensive boards for them 76ers. You could guard AI with soft doubles and creating a wall at the paint with bugs shadowing, because he wasn’t a great shooter so you forced him into twos where multiple people could get a hand up. Soft doubles don’t even work on Curry because his shot is so quick and his range is massive. It just leaves so much space for others which is why you always Golden State get those uncontested offensive rebounds that lead to easy dunks or shots.

You can't even compare them, Iverson had the entire team on his back slashing to the basket and making his own shot, is curry running the point? Then what is Eric snow doing?

Mutombo not putting up points like that, basicly curry would have to avg 30 ppg or more to make the finals and be double teamed the entire game.. he's able to do what he does because the floor is wide open w/ 3 other all stars for the defense to worry about
