If you were to put Steph Curry on the 2001 Sixers would they still make the finals?

Would Steph be able to take that bum ass Sixers team to the finals?

I don't see why not:yeshrug:

Curry is a better player and that team would hide his lack of defensive capabilities

a lot of basic basketball principals go over yalls head

if you think steph curry would look the same surrounded by rec-league offensive talent, then :mjlol:

dudes would straight up ignore every single 76er and force them to beat them

Bro. That 2013 warriors might reach the Finals in the East in the year the Sizes made it all the way to the Finals. Curry not going to be facing lebron or anyone like that or a team like the 2013 Heat

I don't think so.Teams would just double team/start to trap him around halfcourt. He'd be the only scorer on the team.

I don't see him being able to break down a defense like AI did. He'd get worn down trying to get off his 3pt shots all game.

We've seen how sporadic his offense can be in the playoffs. He can afford to do that on the Warriors because they have multiple scorers

to pick up the slack. The pattern I noticed in this years playoffs, Durant/Klay would keep em close, then Steph would put the finishing

touches on you with a few death-nail 3's.Once the Warriors gained a comfortable lead, he'd really hit you with a barrage. He's the best shooter ever,

but in the playoffs, he can look very mortal for huge stretches at a time. Then BOOM, he Hulks out.I don't think he could get away with it on that

No, they MIGHT get to the playoffs...but they aren't getting to the Finals with Wardell Jr.

Next question: if you put Wardell Jr. on the 2001 Lakers and swap out Kobe, do they win?

I think the Bucks would’ve beat them. There’s no Klay (or equivalent) on that 76ers roster that gives Steph the freedom to avoid some of the double teams he has now.

Curry still gets doubled even with KD and Klay on the team, yes he's that dangerous. Teams still trap him on and off the ball. He doesn't escape doubles especially when he plays the Cavs (they basically put him in a box & 1). They don't defend the Warriors, they defend Curry. His off ball play is why the team excels and which is why he still puts up numbers even without dominating the ball. You have to guard him in all types of ways. He's a mobile artillery unit.

are yall watching the games :what:

ain't nobody stopping this dude, He's a Nuke on the court. We haven't seen a guard this explosive and efficient since MJ.

30+pts in less than 30 min while shooting 50%

Curry has only averaged over 38 minutes a game once even when the team was shytty his first few years. Iverson averaged over 41 minutes for his CAREER. He led the league in minutes 7 times.

Miss me with this "efficient" shyt. When you are the entire offense and creating on every possession you are going to take some bad shots. Sixers couldn't afford to have Iverson off the floor at any time.
Yeah these dudes are the worse.

One duke said stephs gravity is leaving non shooters like jones and snow open as if that wasnt what the defense wants.

Then dude said steph is more durabke than iverson outside of 2 seasons like iverson doesnt have multiple years playing 40+ minutes a game.

Imagine in 2001 iverson had

Ray Allen as his klay

Anthony mason aa his draymon

Tmac as his kd

Bruce bowen as his iggy. That team wouldnt of won a ship or took la 2 7 games

The 8 seed was 41-41 that year. You’re trying to argue that AI is worth an extra 16 wins over Curry now even though Curry is better at every aspect of the game :dead:

I like how there's literally no logical explanation for Steph not being able to do it :russ:

The East had ZERO deep teams that year and Steph is more efficient and the spacing issues he generates makes his teammates shooting percentage skyrocket.

Y'all really still judge players by just what they do when the balls in their hand, ignoring the fact that when Steph doesnt have it he does shyt to defenses that no player before him ever has.

As mediocre as that supporting cast is you think they'd be WORSE with the open looks that Steph generates?:ohhh:
