My point is solid nikka. Hush that non sense you spewing. It matters. If it didn't matter, the stats would show that. These pgs cannot be #1 options on championship teams.
You dont have any fukking stats ...stop using words you dont know the meaning of .... you presented a worthless post full of lame gifs and a contexless timeline of events .... shyts trash :dead:

I never count Billups because even though he was finals mvp, that Pistons squad was perfectly balanced. I actually thought RIP or Sheed was the best player.

Chauncey controlled the pace and gameflow of that series and without his demeanor and lack of intimidation of LAL, Detroit doesn't win that chip.

This is true even though positions aren’t a big deal in 2019.
yeah but a 6'5 and under guy can't be anything but a pg/undersized 2 guard on the floor.

wings and centers are the only guys position-less basketball applies to.

quiet as kept, to Op's point curry doesn't monopolize ball handling duties either. so is he really operating in the same vein as Isaiah and magic when he moves so much off the ball?

Breh do I have to spell it out for you?

Only 3 point guards have actually led their teams to rings in 39 years. Actually only 2 cause Magic was not the number 1 option on those Showtime teams.

What is so hard for you to grasp? What context changes 40 years of evidence?

Traditionally, wings or big men carry teams to rings. That's another fact.

Before Steph, you'd have to go back 2003 with JKidd to find another pg who even came close. That was 16 years ago.

Good point. Steph really is a combo guard masquerading as a pg. I call him a pg because he does all the traditional things pgs do sometimes as far as setting up the offense, assists, etc. You are right though, he doesnt do it enough to qualify as a traditional pg. But nothing about the game today is traditional.

Draymond is really GSs "pg".

Magic is a PG in name only. He's closer to a Point Forward who had the ball in his hands all the time.

He actually played with another guard, smaller guard, Bryon Scott or Norm Nixon. Norm Nixon was the PG for two of Magic's championships.

Being called a 6'9 PG just sounds cooler than being called a 6'9 Point Forward.

OP is right, only 3 PGs, or 3, if you wanna count Magic as a PG, I don't btw, has won a championship as the best player.

If the smallest guy on the court is your best player, you ain't gonna win shyt.

Ain't nothing new about this idea btw, shyt been said before.

Forgot about norm nixon. Good points. Basketball is a big man's game. With all the revolutionary players and style changes that the league goes through, that's one thing that will never change.
