Good point. Steph really is a combo guard masquerading as a pg. I call him a pg because he does all the traditional things pgs do sometimes as far as setting up the offense, assists, etc. You are right though, he doesnt do it enough to qualify as a traditional pg. But nothing about the game today is traditional.

Magic is a PG in name only. He's closer to a Point Forward who had the ball in his hands all the time.
He actually played with another guard, smaller guard, Bryon Scott or Norm Nixon. Norm Nixon was the PG for two of Magic's championships.
Being called a 6'9 PG just sounds cooler than being called a 6'9 Point Forward.
