Let me tell you, its hard as hell to rely on the black community. They don't have the instinct to buy things that make them happy.
People think there is a myth that white people just support any white business. That is a lie straight out of the buy black playbook. What really happens is white people are not hesitant to ensure good service is not lost. They see someone do something original and it makes them feel good, they buy instantly.
They don't just say "awesome," or "will support." They do it immediately.
It's what I am currently struggling with. Making an ultra high quality unapologetically black franchise and having a customer base that says "Oh I got to get this," but don't or buy like 1 copy 2 months later.
Most in the black community just don't understand what momentum is. If my kickstarter was to be relied upon exclusively on the black community, I would probably be doomed almost entirely because they take their time in a game where time is the most valuable commodity.
