Harden has been doing these disappearing acts for almost a decade now. Stop.
Harden definitely had a sh*tty game 7 and I'm well aware of his history. I've watched it over the years just like everyone else. But the rotation was shrinking after each playoff game. Lue was on the verge of playing 6 guys for an entire half like JJ Redikk.

Mann was given every opportunity imaginable and never put it together. Not even going to talk about all the hucking bums that have passed through this team.
That's fair but Mann was never unplayable in the playoffs. :sas2:

We had 3-4 guys that were unplayable that were supposed to be key pieces this post season. That's a first. I've never seen that happen to a Clipper roster ever.

Mann didn't get moved only because of his play team was also looking to get off his contract.

Facts, and it was a log jam of Mann, KPJ, Coffey, DJJ, and Dunn... all sort of redundant in skill sets. I get it to a degree, but I didn't know they would actually move Mann, pull the plug on KPJ who was Harden's backup, take Coffey out of the rotation, and then go get Ben Simmons, Bogdan, Patty Mills, and Eubanks -all four unplayable. Add in Dunn and that's five unplayable guys and you're not playing the youngsters on top of it all. Yikes! Its all water under the bridge and in the past but :unimpressed::francis:

Think DJJ should have got more of a look when he came back from his injury. Curious what happens this off-season

"We gotta get younger and more athletic!" - Lawrence Frank
:unimpressed:
1. Lue is not interested in coaching a rebuilding team.
2. Kawhi's market is probably non-existent.
3. Still not in control of our picks.

This all basically means we're stuck as a middling team until, what, 2028?

Yeah, we're running it back next season with Harden, Kawhi, and Zu. We don't have a choice. But L. Frank is going to scream out how we need to get younger and more athletic in the off season like he does every off season. Lue doesn't care for youngsters but he will have to see what's good with Kobe, Cam Christie, and Flowers next season. I think Coffey is gone for sure.

If we can keep Coffey cool. If he leaves that's fine too. DJJ does everything he does but better; with exception being Coffey has more of a willingness to get threes up.

What's y'all thoughts on Ty Lue and Lawrence Frank? A 50 win season means they're safe and not going anywhere anytime soon. Now I've defended Lue for years, even when folks saw he road Bron's coattails to get that one championship ring and always said he was legit. But I can't lie, with all the 1st round exits and the passive quiet coaching style -and also this is me just rambling a bit- I'm starting to question his Klutch Sports affiliation like subconsciously Bron has a hand in our operations sort of. Like we're only allowed to be so good and there's a ceiling placed over us. It feels like Lue will take care of Bron before the team. Like they could be hanging out and Bron will be like.

Bron: "I know Ballmer is paying you but don't get too big over there Lue!"
Ty Lue: "Ah Bron you ain't got nothing to worry about. Its Klutch Sports to the death of us."

-Not saying this is the case, but low key its starting to feel this is the case imo. It probably wouldn't be anything to worry about if Bron was on another team in a different city, but it does feel like Lue keeps the status quo in favor of his buddy and the team he used to play for. I know Lue isn't going anywhere as of right now, but with our new arena, its time for a clean break away from the Lakers, We need real 100% separation. Lue is like a suspension bridge that keeps both land masses connected at all costs. On a couple of other Clipper boards there's fans who firmly believe without a doubt Lue is a Trojan horse for Bron and the Lakers.

Also Lue and Lawrence Frank seem to be buddy buddy but the moves we make seem as if they don't communicate with each other at all. This past trade deadline killed Lue's options, game planning, and versatility with the lineups. We've never ever had 30-45% of roster that was unplayable for the post season. I've never seen us in that position. Just my thoughts, but still, something seems off with these two guys. Its going to be an interesting off season that's for sure.

Hopefully Kawhi gets traded so I don’t gotta watch this soft ass team nomore.. Ty Lue so fukkin overrated cuz Lebron literally went nuclear with a young Kyrie and came back from 1-3 .. he makes no in game adjustments , he’s a great assist coach but head coach so trash .. harden does what harden does i ain’t even mad at the nikka cuz I seen him do this for years now

My preference would be to completely divest from. Klutch sports if possible. That being said I think the team outperformed even their own expectations. The moves they made were to clean up their books just as much if not more than to improve the team. I don't think anyone is under contract past the end of Kawhi's contract.

If Frank and Lue stay I'm fine with it, if they leave I'm fine with it too. I'm not interested in the former Warriors GM, Mark Jackson, etc.

Honestly... outside of the Terrance Mann game four years ago (which is a bit inflated bc Mann ain't shot like that before or after), he hasn't really done anything to beat the allegations.

The year before Lue joined CLE, LeBron took a no-name coach and injury-riddled Cavs to the Finals, and arguably lost moreso due to a devastated roster than a lack of coaching. The next year, with Lue, a lot of fukkery happened in the 3-1 come back, so i'm fine with giving Lue his share of credit... but nothing in the weak ass East changed or improved from '15 to '18 that would've stopped CLE/LeBron from consecutive Finals appearances with or w/o Lue.

He was right there on the bench with Doc during that 3-1 bubble collasp. In 2021, they're down 3-2 vs DAL about to be upset in round 1, and it wasn't coaching that saved them but Kawhi going nuclear. Next round, 0-2 vs UTA. Year after that 0-2 in the play-ins vs a comparably injury-depleted squad.
