people are gonna move regardless. Especially if you continue to cape for capitalism and the profit/deficit game that leads to these issues. But the truth is our intervention/interference across the continent has left the vast majority in a huge deficit.
You can't keep caping for the current system and then placing band aids on the results or blame on the victims. This thought process has historically lead to genocide when the problems have spiralled out of control
of course Mexico had problems before. Problems we've exploited for our own benefit. Like how NAFTA caused an already economically weaker Mexico's farmers to compete with cheaper products from the US and Canada. We can keep strolling back through the timeline if you really wanna play this game.
You mention drug problem, but then now focus on NAFTA. One word...maquiladora
Problems exploited or created? USA pointed a missile to Mexico, inorder to force them to sign NAFTA and then sacrificed its manufacturing industry to Mexico's benefit, just for being good neighbors
The way this convo has skewed from illegal immigration to misleading info and innuendos of USA causing its own border problem proves the OP's point
