The whole Wu Tang series made me go back and listen to all of Wu Tang’s best albums but I always heard how wack Immobilarity is, especially following up a classic like Only Built For Cuban Linx (still one of the absolute greatest albums of all time
).
Raekwon’s (and Ghost’s) discography really stood out for me and they have shot up my top 10 list. I was barely born when OBFCL came out so I can’t appreciate the impact of the time but maybe that’s why I can listen to Immobilarity and still enjoy it.
I know it deviates from the gritty and unpolished Wu Tang sound but how can an album with joints like Live From New York, Sneakers, Casablanca, the Table, Yae Yo & 100 rounds be consensously seen as trash?
What y’all think?
