Nelly won off popularity ala drake vs meek mill. Meek had the better diss but drake had the machine. Krs had the better diss though average for his standards but nelly had the machine backing him for 90 days and then 50 showed up.
no nelly won cause roc tha mic>>>>>>>>Any of those mid KRS disses

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Krs 1 played himself

Dude got a problem with thinking every rapper should pay him respect and mentioned him every fukking time when somebody like nelly said he was influenced by big daddy kane , rakim and ice t in that source article..

I still remember this little beef..

It's similar to rakim who i used to hear around the early 2000s complaining about new rappers not paying him homage...

Typical of nikkas who couldn't find other avenues to move onto and want to complain about other nikkas like nelly ( who's trash anyway imo ) eating well at the time
word... it's like nikkas don't even know the chain of events

nelly had #1 (the song) out.. wasn't talking a single fukking word about KRS or anyone else

here come KRS old ass out of fukking nowhere

"I said, 'Yo, we should boycott Universal Records and Nelly to send a message to the recording corporations of the United States, saying that there are people in hip-hop culture who, if they say this is wack, you lose sales," the South Bronx representer told MTV News. "Tell Universal to tell their artist the rules before he goes around yapping, trying to dis those that have paved the way for him to be there."

because nelly said:

I'm tired of rappers judging what's real hip-hop/Half the time they be the nikkas' whose album flopped

so Nelly shyt on his ass

What? :mjlol:
It took forever for Meek to even respond and then he dropped Wanna Know which was one of the worst diss records in hiphop history.

Death To Spookism
This battle was meh in general it was however a foreshadowing of what was to come with regards to more popular rappers getting propped up by their fanbase whether they win or lose.

Fan bases are intolerable most of the time, when their fave wins they become unbearable, but when their fave has to hold that L, the collective amnesia and spin is glorious:banderas:

However fools getting hyped up over a couple old man jokes from Nelly cant be serious :mjlol:
