In an absolute stunner Josh Allen has been named MVP over Lamar Jackson despite not making All-pro first team (First time since 1987)

Gonna ignore Derrick Henry rushing for 2k back In 2020? It's in him

Yes Lamar helped him out

Henry also helped Lamar though. Lamar never had a season this great without Henry either.
he was 26 back in 2020 aka in his prime

its also the last year he had 5 ypc before playing with Lamar and averaging a career high 6 ypc

and explain how Henry helped Lamar when hes on the sideline 90% of the time when the Ravens are passing

go look up Lamars stats when Henry is on the sideline

Lamars jump in numbers had more to do with being in the 2nd year of Mokens offense and Bateman finally having a healthy season

this was the first year of his career he had legit receiving weapons and now somehow thats an excuse not to give him MVP

never heard this excuse when Peyton was winning multiple MVPs with Edgerrin James,Marvin Harrison,Reggie Wayne,Dallas Clark, etc

I thought white tears were good.. but damn.. these negro tears are DELICIOUS :russ:

Yall cats are FURIOUS lol.. but had zero issue with Lamar winning it last year with weak stats.. cuz he black.. which im ok with... but now he was robbed because he had a great statistical season but also had 11 pro bowlers.l and MVP candidate as his rb

:snoop:

this is absolute utter stupidity. He had the best team and the overall number one seed and all the big time games he played, especially down the stretch. He was the best player on the field.

That is not equivalent of Josh Allen’s current season … stop it …. you’re sounding more and more ridiculous.

Yall talking like Josh is Kirk Cousins smh
I didn’t even mention Allen in this post. He had a great year, but Lamar was better by every metric that matters while having a historically great year while getting next to no help from his defense most of the year, getting inconsistent play from his receivers, getting terrible pass protection from his line, and his kicker lost 3-4 games for them this year too.

It's not that simple. You need a simulator to swap players around...QB in this case and factor in coaching game plan changes.

Regular season: Josh Allen on Ravens maintains 12wins. We will never know, but that's damn near a sure bet if healthy.

If you say Josh Can't match the regular season records of Lamar, Jaden Daniels or Burrow then he wouldn't deserve a MVP. But he's swappable and it would be no fall off.
nobody in the league besides Lamar is winning 12 games with our oline

you watch Ravens games so you know how awful they were this season

you never heard a peep about how bad the line is because Lamar is the best ever at avoiding pressure and put up historic number behind that shyt line

Josh Allen wouldve led the league in turnovers playing behind our line

THE MAN RUSHED FOR 900 YARDS
AND THREW FOR 4000 YARDS.

41 PASSING TD VS 4 INT

THESE THINGS HAVE NEVER
BEEN DONE IN NFL HISTORY
ON TOP OF THE 4TH HIGHEST
PASSER RATING OF ALL TIME.

IT WAS A SEASON WE FOR THE AGES.

NO ONE HAD A SEASON
LIKE THIS LAST YEAR

Cowboys fans are delusional

the only reason why Dak even finished 2nd in voting is because of what Lamar did in the 49ers and Dolphins games at the end of the season

McCafferey and Tyreek were both ahead of Dak before those games

this bullshyt narrative that Lamar didnt deserve the 2023 MVP is why they robbed him of it this year

exactly this narrative of DK being robbed of Lamar is literally borderline trolling. If you wanna compare those two games, you mentioned the 49ers and dolphins

men lie
women lie
numbers don’t.

Dak vs 49ers = LOSS
58% 153yds 1TD 3 INT 51.6 rate
Lamar vs 49ers = WIN
65% 252yds 2 TD 0 INT 105 rate

Dak vs Fins = LOSS
62% 253yds 2TD 0 INT 107 rate
Lamar vs Fins = WIN
85% 321yds 5TD 0 INT 158 rate

How the hell is Burrow 3rd when his team didn't make the playoffs?:why:

How does he get credit for winning a few games late but no blame for losing games early?

How was his season more valuable than Barkley's?

I still don't get how Lamar had a historic season gets trumped by Allen having a very good season. Nothing Josh did was memorable.

The historic precedent is somewhat ironic and fitting.

Lamar didn't have an MVP season last year but played QB on the most successful regular season team. In August 2024 most had Buffalo backsliding due to lack of offensive talent/names, myself included. I said a while ago that overall team strength should be considered and it was.

So 2 years in a row of a guy who "didn't deserve" MVP getting MVP. I'm surprised but not mad.

that does not make sense if you are going to use overall team strength as a consideration, you would then have to use the Teams opponents as a consideration

And when you do that Lamar and his Baltimore Ravens played the hardest toughest schedule last season while playing in the overall best division in the entire NFL

So for him and his team to have the overall best record should defeat the purpose of that notion
