In hindsight KD making deep Western Conference runs with Yung Sabo is incredible

KD's OKC playoff numbers are identical to Harden's playoff numbers in Houston and one's considered unguardable while the other is considered a choker :mjlol:

Ben taylor touches on how KD's playoff scoring routinely lagged behind his regular season scoring

For all the noise about him frontrunning with GS, it really boosted his rep as a player

Russ hasn’t sniffed the finals once KD left... Russ went on to average Triple doubles, play with harden and play with Paul George... and did nothing.... this should be telling

Its a shame. I’ll admit. I fed into it back then because I used to think Russ was the heart of that OKC team eventhough KD was better…that thinking from fans and the sports world likely being what caused the friction between them. In hindsight, Russ should’ve had enough sense to play his position and stop thinking he was the top dawg. Stop shooting your team out of games and not passing the rock. Then KD should’ve been more assertive in demanding to be the leader. He should’ve simply took over and forced Russ to fall back. They should’ve honestly ran the West. Even with Golden State coming into the picture, OKC should’ve won at least 2-3 rings and their rivalry should’ve been the new version of the Lakers-Spurs rivalry from the 2000s. Russ gonna end up thinking about that when he retires ringless.

How? Their coach was still ass. They stayed losing players either through trades & injuries. They still had to battle the Spurs, grizzlies, Mavs, Lakers & clippers

All those teams were irrelevant from 2016 to 2021. Had KD and Westbrook figured out their issues, the championship would’ve been either theirs or Golden State’s to lose every year.
