In hindsight KD making deep Western Conference runs with Yung Sabo is incredible

KD the only "Superstar" in the top 25 list that wouldn't be able to win a title with Harden, Sabo, and Ibaka on their roster at the same time at that point in their careers.
Ya'll rewriting history if you trying to say that team was trash.

This is a blatant lie. Harden wasn’t even a starter yet and Russ was just breaking out. The guy averaging 30 in the finals wasn’t the problem. Like we watched in real time when Magic Johnson called out Russ in the finals for bad decisions.

Team wasn’t trash at all. They were talented as fukk. I thought it was widely accepted, though, that they were still young and the best was still to come.

They drafted 3 potential superstars. Does that comprehend better for you :beli:

Are you telling me LeBron at 23, with a 23 year old Westbrook, 22 year old Harden and a runner up in DPOY 38 year old Ibaka should have been expected to lose an NBA finals

Nah breh. That would not have been the expectation.
26 YR OLD BRON,
WITH 26 YR BOSH & 29 YR OLD WADE
LOST THE YR BEFORE.

BUT 23 YR OLD BRON GONNA
WIN WITH 22/23 YR OLD LESSER PLAYERS?

KD is that nikka breh, its just that the Dubs move forces nikkas to downplay his greatness. I thought the Dubs move was weak too but it doesn't change how great he really is plus he balled out in the finals

yeah or Boston. Im glad he didnt go there but if he won out there he'd be straight
There's one thing about KD that you never hear.... Negative comments about his game. They talk about him going to the dubs, Twitter fingers and everything else but you can't find a major flaw in his game. Especially when he started stepping up on defense regularly. Dude is just a pure basketball player

Lebron trash too, he cost them that series. Wade was on the way to another finals MVP. He influenced KD by normalizing the act of cherry picking for titles. all the other top 25 player would've stayed on that OKC squad to whatever age until they finally won one.

Harden wasn’t a starter like Ginobili wasn’t a starter on the Spurs.

23 year old Bron was better than 26 year old Bron :hubie:

I think me and either @ISO or @Dray5K talked about how out of sorts Bron was that year.

lebron retiring next year
no way this quad is winning anything in the rejuvenated west
Main reason is bc the Lakers are taking (former) superstars and trying to get them to play role player positions.

Look at Russ trying too hard, AD trying to be the future like they want him to be, LeBron on his victory lap before retirement and Dwight and DeAndre Jordan just old versions of themselves. Melo is the only one that fell into his role comfortably.
