Wish aliens would drop by and i'd hop in their spaceship and cruise around space scoping planets bumping

i don't know if this necessarily makes us small more than it makes us unique. because, to date, there still has not been any discovery of a species as complex as the human being. why, in this staggeringly vast universe, does there exist men who can feel emotions and interpret the sciences on such a scale as we do? in this "insignificant" world of ours, we have created a civilization that is rather impressive in its scope, one that continues to grow and will eventually - should mankind not become extinct - expand to other worlds. an argument can be made, in fact, that human beings are the most special creation in this universe of ours.

I don't bother thinking about things like this.

I only concentrate on my very very very small piece of the universe.

go to work, get $ , spend it, get it again , repeat until :dead:

i do agree that we are special in that our planet was one chosen to host life but just the size of the universe says theres's millions if not billions of other civilizations with intelligent life.

my theory is theres a teeming intergalactic community all around us, but we aren't yet scientifically advanced enough to join. maybe in a few thousand years when we prove we won't all kill ourselves in war and we make progress enough to travel the universe we'll be accepted.

how come they've never visited us, then?

what would happen if aliens visited us right now? how would people and governments react?

we're not ready..

were the native people of this nation ready for columbus? i just wonder if we aren't the only ones out here, since it stands to reason that beings capable of interstellar travel would come to our planet.

:dwillhuh::to:

and this is why when people say there isnt life on other planets I literally laugh out loud :FOH:

its pretty arrogant to think earth is the only place with life, considering there are millions of planets, why would we be the only ones?

are there aliens? I dont mean little green guys with big heads, but there must be aliens (life on other planets) if theres million of planets...the universe is just so complex. I mean 1100 years @ 900km/h to just reach one side of the sun? :dwillhuh:

we will never be able to explore the whole universe, unless scientists can create an aircraft that can move at something like a billion km/second

the universe is fascinating as hell

they didnt have an air force and nuclear weapons :heh:

they could be on the other side of the universe and haven't seen us yet i just doubt were the most advanced civilization in the universe. i'd venture to say we're prehistoric compared to some.

our intelligent civilization has been going for 20,000 years, just to be safe. the universe has been habitable for about 10 billion years, even if 1 other civilization came into existence 2 or 3 billion years ago just imagine where it is now.

its impossible for there not to be life out there and extremely improbable there's not more advanced.
