Damn shame. But at least you know some roofing skills.
While we were together, my ex bought a house where the kitchen and bathrooms were gutted/gone. Saved so much money with his tiling the kitchen and family room, installing the kitchen cabinets himself (with a buddy), building and tiling the bathroom, installing new french doors to the back yard, etc, etc. It was a great project to work on together because we managed budgets, design decisions, and each put in work - obviously he did 90%. He got much appreciation for that. Was tough when we split because I loved that house. :sadbron:

This is typical exaggeration by a poster who clearly doesn't think coherently before posting.

Comparing the creation of a meal, simple subsistence, to the erection of a multi-storey functioning house.
