A lot of schools don't teach shop anymore eithertrue dat, true dat, its hard to obtain those home building skills in a city. younger generations lost a lot due to all kinds of social issues. there's a recent thread about a retired NFL player learning to farm from youtube videos. I'm on Nigerian sites and see the Brehs posting pics of them building their own chit all the time.

onthere are so many other things you could have used besides building a house that would have made the thread title a little more rational. But get yaon

Damn shame. But at least you know some roofing skills. In my situation, the sad thing is all my family builds house, like both my uncles could literally build a house if you gave them enough time and supplies. I missed out on learning most of it outside of roofing.

that can only get you side dikk status

Transfer for your construction related insecurities onto others cuz you’re incapable of building a suitable dwelling, brehs
Pretend like no one in history has ever built a house solo, brehs

While we were together, my ex bought a house where the kitchen and bathrooms were gutted/gone. Saved so much money with his tiling the kitchen and family room, installing the kitchen cabinets himself (with a buddy), building and tiling the bathroom, installing new french doors to the back yard, etc, etc. It was a great project to work on together because we managed budgets, design decisions, and each put in work - obviously he did 90%. He got much appreciation for that. Was tough when we split because I loved that house.![]()

Yes! Of course, I returned the favor. He liked to watch me cleaning the house with no clothes on, so I obliged. Alas, there is more to a relationship than house duties.damn! bet that shyt turned you on!!

thats something i want to do. i always look for fixer upper houses just to get an idea for when im ready to make that move. my aunt's husband bought a house in portchester, ny that looked straight out of a horror movie. 2 years later he had it looking incredible and its worth 3 times what he paid for it. its a very smart move if you are a handy man.
