you have your opinion I have mine. It may be all connected, but the amount of threads that get made here about it is a very sad sign to me. We have such a hard time acting on anything positive (when is the last time you saw a thread about someone bigging up anything they've done to help our community) and we barely bring up any coherent arguments when it comes to anything of merit. But nyggas become anthropologists when it comes to who is having sex with who.

It's disheartening as a 29 year old to see how big these threads get. It's the reason why love and hip hop and other baseless shows are what most people think of us. We carry the stigma that all we care about is lower level thinking topics (like sex, like violence) and these threads don't do anything to separate against that notion.

Maybe I'm venting too hard on this thread...I'll exit here

This forum is not real nor a representation of Black people.

Black family should always be promoted by us. Want to date out? Fine but we Black people need to keep those types at arms length and invest in those whom do have Black significant others. There should be some incentives with Black love and some shame with swirling.

Yet, we prove them right when we worry about relationships of complete strangers. Wake up! There are much more pressing issues to actually care about.

Spend your time volunteering at an under-funded school. Go out and be a big brother or a big sister. Donate money to a black kickstarter project. Read a fycking book! Prove to yourself that you are capable of larger thinking than sex. This is how people see us... as idiots who focus on trivial things. I'm not a fan of responsibility politics when it comes to police violence, but we need to really analyze what we are focusing on.

Lol man, I talk about black issues all day in real life to non black people in positions of power and black people alike. I wanted to be a senator and a doctor. Don't go there with me. I'm trying to have a civil discussion.

I agree, happiness and love shouldn't have stipulations. But, I think given the state of the black community it'd be helpful if we kept our talent homegrown for lack of a better term.

Because suburban biracial children often lose sight of their blackness because they're raised in non black neighborhoods and house holds that marginalize black culture. I'm sorry my observation and willingness to express it offends you.
