First of all, being introverted isn't the same as being socially awkward, reclusive, etc., nor does it mean u necessarily shy. Being introverted means one find more energy being alone or doing shyt by themselves whereas an extrovert find more energy doing shyt with others. I am in between but was more introverted growing up. My confidence and self-esteem was low so a lot has to do with that.
I find its best to have a balance...especially when at work. U need to be able to teamwork but also work individually.
I think those types make it the best. Extroverted people are cool but its preferable when they are open-minded. I find some to be too close-minded and get mad or nasty when someone isn't like themselves. Then, u have introverts who don't wanna come out of their shell at all and we are humans and that means we are social creatures and need other people. Its just that some folks just have so much drama, BS and shyt with them whereas it can be draining or even worst...they can bring u down.
I would suggest folks who are introverted and have issues with it or wanna change to take time to socialize and come out of their shell to those who like them and are open-minded. An introvert not gonna be comfortable trying to befriend or open up to an extrovert who is close-minded and not understanding that everyone isn't the same.
