Instagram has really done a number on our society
Its more about who you surround your self with
Most people are only around people that are like them
The company you keep is usually the same as your social status
If you are hanging around people that make 45k you might think thats cool
But your probably not around people that make that in a month and don't even think that is possible unless your an athlete or celebrity

Nooo you're not a failure!!!! That's above average income. Shoot, I damn near make that and I only work half the month...:lolbron: but I will say this, always strive for better...even when a job is cake. Learn new skills on the side to make yourself more valuable on the job market.

You are not balling out of control, but 50K is in no way a failure.

Like other brehs and brehettes have mentioned you should look at the average income of a single working class American. You’re doing better than most people.

The real issue is the federal government needs to get inflation under control. The price of everything is getting absurd while wages have been relatively stagnant for decades.

It would be controversial, but I think the feds should take a look at capping how much certain sectors could charge for a good or service. Sometimes markup is 300-500 percent more than it costs the company to make the good or deliver the service. You see this a lot in retail.

That capitalism only really benefits a few select entrepreneurs, owners, CEO’s, etc. Everyone else is fighting for the table scraps. You got Fortune 500 companies paying people 8 to 12 bucks an hour which is a travesty in my opinion. That pull yourself up by the bootstraps shyt sounds fine in theory, but capitalism wasn’t designed for the working class person to get ahead.

What about federal and state taxes?:dwillhuh: You said he was taking home over $2k bi-weekly.
Biweekly he'd be taking home 2291 approx. So each month he should be raking in approx 4582 unless he's on an uneven pay and he makes more at the start of the month than the end. Either way, he's still got 4k a month approx. I'm assuming he's not talking gross pay and taxes are deducted.

What are you talking about?:dwillhuh:

Net pay is after taxes, that's what you take home. At $55k salary he is not taking $4500/month home. More like $3300 after Federal and state tax

$55K is like $1600 every 2 weeks.
