People who complain about a 9-5 never had to work a 6-6 night shift. They never had to work manual labor, they never had to work in factories and warehouses with immigrants that can't even speak English. I would kill for a 9-5. shyt I'd kill for a permanent job period. You don't know how lucky you are
yea all i do is sit around on the internet and fukk around all day. look at my post count :mjlol:

if you hate your 9 to 5, you're getting paid absolute dog shyt or you have a ton of projects and you have to keep your phone on when your not at the office, shyt like that

Not much to expound ...most businesses are reactive and searching for that
one breakthrough tactic. if you are strategic and proactive ....you'll get $$$
from day one.

but we are derailing the thread....back to toils of corporate droneship

To be honest, I dont mind that at all. I can understand if its a job you absolutely hate, but I dont get why people just abhor them all period. I've heard a lot of "fukk a 9-5" and "itll drain your soul" but I'd say I enjoy them (non-physical labor of course, but if you work out enough you can get used to that quicker anyway). I mean think about the hours, you wake up early enough to embrace the whole day, and you get off before night time usually. If you got things you wanna do on the side you have plenty of time to nap before the next day starts (say you get home 6 or 7, 3-4 hour nap and its still 10, unless traffic is real bad for you). And if what ever you do has you up to like 1-3 in the morning, that nap or period of rest before will make your sleep at that time easier to have while having to wake up in a smaller time frame. And from what I can tell most 9-5 jobs have a basic learning curve where you can get the hang of things within like a week or a month. So what really so bad about one?

You'll be hating it within 3 years.

Depends on what the 9 to 5 is.

I technically work a 9 to 5 but I have hellified freedom to work from home or off site. I have at least two business trips a year. I make decent bread I also get to work for black folks and service mostly black folks/youth (non-profit). This is my 4th year here.

Don't get me wrong I have side ventures and other things that I that I love but its nowhere near the pit of despair that most 9 to 5s are.

My girl equates her 9 to 5 to "the professional version of "the sunken place".

I done legit work from 9-5 it varies but I count an 8 hour shift a typical 9-5.

My biggest problem is that I feel like I wasn't just put here to work my life away with minimum good times. I understand responsibilities and such but come on smh
Yeah that speaks to me, I think you get it

Like I was blessed with above average intelligence, just being honest. So my life doesn't revolve around a 9-5

I'm just waiting for my real life to begin, if that makes sense

You're some what correct, finding the correct market fit MAY be profitable early on. It also requires the right debt ratio and other management skills. Also you would find in scenarios like this the entrepreneur had past failed ventures and took that experience into the new one.
These nikkas aint business savvy like that :pachaha: They just on some fukk a job shyt.

Lol@ 9-5 id kill for a 9-5

Most good paying jobs exceed 8 hour shifts. Try 8-5, 8-6 or 9-7

Or don't really have hours at all...

I'm 9 to 5, but there are times when I work 10 hours there are times when I pull up at freaking 10:45.

As some one said though salary (which I am) >>>>>>>> Hourly, being salary means you know you are getting paid for your ideas/leadership/expertise etc. and not just being a body.
