Is a 9-5 really that soul crushing?

Sales is stressful. Labor is the worst, but sales (for someone else) suck, kitchen sucks, the back end, the front end is okay. Retail is okay. STEM is awesome

Any wage job suck over time. The only people who enjoy their jobs forreal work salary jobs.

I'm in the military. My working hours are from "7-4", but we don't paid hourly. If your work is done you can usually find a way to leave early.
If I'm at work past 2:30 I feel a type of way, but that being said it's not bad, and people really just complain to complain. They wanna go home so they can chill and relax or take a nap. That being said I work full time and take school classes and I still find a way to maintain a decent social life.

IMO, Ain't shyt happening during the early mornings and afternoon, except reruns, u might as well be on the clock working

Shyt less than half of those 8 hours is spent doing honest work in my gig, I often pretend i be working

The lack of holidays is what truly sucks though but better than the alternative of being unemployed .

u gotta stand and walk all fukking day if u take a rest u get screamed at
feet hurt like a mother fukker when u get home

9-5 desk job aint that bad if u like what u do
but if u hate your job it can be draining

I was a cashier, a garbage man and a waiter at one point

I'd argue that it all comes down to your boss/coworkers though.

Sometimes retail isn't too bad either, you can meet some pretty interesting customers.

Also, my friends were actually working with me as garbage men that summer as were tryna make some extra cash so it wasn't too bad. Also my boss was a real chill guy.

Even the worst of jobs can be pretty good as long as you're in good company

The worst is when you're working underneath the pedantic/anal types. You have to show restraint because a lot of these supervisor/boss types use the little power they have and go overboard.

In a situation like that, any job is hell.

Not everyone who has a 9-5 is miserable...
