Is Carmelo our generations Benard King?

When Melo was coming out of college I compared him to a more athletic version of Glenn Robinson but as time goes by I'm starting to realize he is out Benard King.

Will Melo ever surpass his current point of success or is he destined to be a big time individual player who doesn't really lead his teams anywhere?

Honesty Melo is far from as explosive as Benard was but the overall career slant seems in line.

They have similar offensive games (love the baseline, high post, midrange jumpers) but King was uber efficient and had huge playoff games.

If Bernard never got hurt and he played with Ewing he might have a ring today...

Melo's best days are behind him, I'm rooting for Kristaps development though. Whether Melo competes is dependent on Kristaps reaching his potential.
