Is "Catching the Holy Ghost" just attention whoring?

Yea, all this crap is fake as hell. I attended a Baptist church and its just SICKENING how gullible, fake, ignorant, and stupid these people are. I remember someone told me that these church folks are under a spell. I laughed about it but then I seriously gave it some thought. It hurts my soul seeing how crowds and flocks of our people are manipulated out of earnings, separated from friends & families, and mind controlled all because of some Slick Willy talking religious pimp. All these people want is some self-esteem and something to believe in but they're putting their trust into unsavory characters.
I've meditated to the point where I started wavering and what not. You can still your being to a point where you feel the more subtle energies of your body. We can get into sweat lodges and shamanism, chants, deep mediation and stuff like that. You don't need a religion or a Holy Order to be one with Spirit, God, etc. A medium, someone more enlightened that you, a teacher, yes.
The church will usually denounce these practices while they take your money though. Charlatans.

Lemme tell you how fake this BS is..true story..I saw this dude at the American Airlines arena..someone asked me to go..he started from one section of the arena and threw his hands out and everyone fell...as it got closer to my section i started getting nervous as **** was even about to walk out and go to the restroom because I was scared to pass out..anyways when it got to my section every damn body fell down and I was standing up alone looking at all these people like wtf..these christians really give this man all this power to turn them into a fool?!

2 incidents ive seen of ppl catching the holy ghost that ill never forget
1) this dude got into a trance and was running laps around the church then goes down the aisle spazzing then headbutts the pew..im like
...homie bust his forehead down the white meat..shyt was crazy
2) was this little knucklehead in the church..his moms had caught the holy spirit and had move out of her pew to the front of the church with the others..her kid went up there too and started harlem shaking..me and my brother were like
...when they got back to their seats she gave him a mean open hand slap that echoed...I was

I don't know. Tribes used to dance themselves into a spiritual fervor similar to these.
However, I doubt modern day religions ability to induce these spiritual states. But anything is really possible.
spiritual dancing doesn't mean they were doing anything.
