Is it just me or did Biggie come across as a spoiled boy mad that his mom didnt buy him everything?

Theyre already poor and this fakkit had the nerve to steal from her

"lying to my mama, fukking stealing out her purse."

His moms was a teacher and he was her only child. They weren't poor. His childhood best friend admitted during that Mic Check interview that Biggie only starting chillin on Fulton and selling dope so that he would seem real when his rap career popped off. :what:

Biggies moms is lying. She one of them old proud jamaican ladies who want everyone to think she was the perfect mom and shyt but inside the home she living in poverty and got her son sleeping on the floor eating sardines for dinner. Obviously they wasn't eating healthy at home, junk food diets is the cheapest shyts. Biggie prolly never ate a lettuce in his life. Only vegetable he new was potato chips. She prolly overcompensated with the food cause everything else was fukked up. All he got for Christmas was a Rub DMC tape and a Fatboys tape.

so by age 12 he was setting up his path to fame intentionally??
he caught his first charge at 17 though. and got lukky at that because if he was 18 he wouldve gotten 5 years max not 5 years probation.

i dont know why you're hating on biggie like this? you actually think he lied about his life? shame on you

use ya head young man, was rapping let alone rapping about drug dealing really the "in" thing to do in the 80s? :comeon:

Bdk....krs....Shan...Rakim....Slick....tribe and em were popping at the time BIG was in the streets. Biggie and Wu are the one's who broke in that mafioso/ get money drug dealing rap era of the east coast.

"Its ill when, MC's used to be on cruddy shyt,Took home, Ready to Die, listened, studied shyt. Now they on some money shyt, successful out the blue"

Know ya hip hop history chump

I always use my head, kid. I'm repeating a story told by Biggie's best friend and first DJ, my man. I wasn't there and i'm not talking theoretically. Check the link. He tells the whole story from when they were children until when Biggie made the decision to leave St. James and start going over to Fulton once his moms let him start leaving the front porch. And Big wasn't selling dope in like '84, this was like '89 (the year Road to the Riches dropped). By then, a lot of rappers weren't blatently talking about selling dope out East, but cats on the West Coast was definitely rappin about gangsta shyt, and Big was heavily influenced by that. He also payed homage to Schooly D (the first East Coast gangsta rapper) by rapping over PSK (Park Side Killas)(1985) on LAD. He had his influences.

so his one story doesnt match so many other stories from people who grew up with biggie, and you take it as gospel?
