man yall nikkaz is crazy. Kanye and Alchemist use to be close to Just Blaze, but its not even close anymore dude got better over time. Kanye hasn't made a out cold beat in I don't know how long, Alchemist is the same as he's always been which isn't a bad thing, but Just is at a whole another level.

I would like to see some of the techniques he uses because he make a lot of producers beats sound cheap. Listen to a Just blaze beat from early 2000's, and listen to a Kanye or Alchemist from the same era I bet you Just Blaze shyt still hot and they're shyt sounds dated.

I think Kanye's early 2000's stuff sounds WAY more dated than Just or Alchemist.

Those bongos and clack snares?

Wow, Bink! over Just Blaze?

Where u think son got his whole steez from?

BINK actually is considered to be Just's big inspiration for the change in style. BINK is still probably furious at Just to this this day :jawalrus: From where I sit I love them both!

From 2009:

"A: Back in 2000, Jay-Z dropped “The Dynasty”, an album that introduced your talent alongside those of Just Blaze and Kanye West. How come we didn’t find you on every Jay albums after that?

BINK: I did “The Blueprint” which was right after that but I kind of shadow away from the whole Roc-A-Fella scene because I was actually mimicked by somebody within the camp. It doesn’t feel right with me just because I’m from the old school and taking somebody else sound or style or whatever which was called “biting” back in the day is real personal. In the new school, there’s no such thing as “biting”, it’s about getting a check. That’s what I hate about the game. The whole creative side is not here anymore. There’s not a lot of people who make you want to go home and turn your machine on when you have listened to their music. A lot of people that you hear out here, you are thinking that you are hearing one person and it is somebody totally different and it’s OK. Back in the day, people used to get shot and beat up over stuff like that.

A: Who was biting your style?

BINK: I mean, that’s obvious, you can tell me that!

A: I would say…Just Blaze?

BINK: Of course! You are the type of guy that pays attention to details. The average fan or the average consumer, they don’t really care about who got what from who. That’s not their concern. If the record is hot, it’s all they care about. But if you are a fan of music, and you have really followed the game, then you know what I brought to the game and what people borrowed from me since I came in.

The crazy thing is that I used to be cool with the guy. Just Blaze and me were cool at one time doing the whole “Dynasty” and “Blueprint”. Once it got to the point where he was taking what I was doing, it doesn’t fit right with me. He ended up signing to Gee Roberson and Hip-Hop who were A&Rs for Roc-A-Fella. Once I wasn’t really feeling what was going on, they kind of let me behind and I pursued my career in other places.

A: So you ‘re any longer cool with Just Blaze, right?

BINK: We definitely don’t talk [laughs]. But when I first met the guy, he sounded like Swizz Beatz! That’s the irony to the story. He’s the only guy that I’ve heard in the game taking from so many producers. He’s starting to come to his own now a little bit but even now he’s more sounding like a Toomp or a Drumma Boy. He does what’s hot and that’s the part of the game that I told you I don’t agree with. I’m not going to do something because everybody else is doing it. He’s infamous for borrowing from people, that’s his M.O.. He’s a talented guy, I might say but he hasn’t brought anything to the game that he has come up with. That’s the only thing he’s missing: his own sound."

They say true producers in hip hop have a distinguished sound

Songs you can play and ask "Did ____ produce this?"

I feel that way with only a handful of producers (not including the ones that have drops)

He was the best during his era, Just Blaze was always a higher ranked more in demand producer than Ye but he couldn't evolve with the times so he's not among the greats, every just blaze beat i hear belongs in 2005.

Massive amounts of his old beats also sound :flabbynsick: IMO. For every Roc the Mic there are bunches of cheesy guitar flips and repetitive snares. When that Complex bit about his greatest production was up a few months ago went through his discog and a lot of it had me :aicmon:

C/S

His discography has a shyt-ton of filler

Superb producer. But all this top 5 talk? :usure:

Keeping it real G. Kanye a better and more versatile producer than Just Blaze.

I put Just Blaze more along the lines of the extremely talented one trick pony producers, like 9th wonder and em. Imo Lex Luger, Mike Will >>> Just as far as producing popular mainstream music.

JB in my top 15. But top 5? Nah :merchant:

RZA
DRE
Timbaland
Neptunes
Kanye West
3 6 mafia
Lord Finesse
The Alchemist
Bink
DJ Tomp
Dj Premier
The Hitmen ( :steviej: )
Daz
Dj Quik
No ID
Shawty Redd
Lex Luger

And I know im missing some more too :yeshrug:

:holdup2: No organized noise tho

Ahhh the normal coli convo, "____ Is overrated", "_____ is wack" and the 1000 similar statements. When can we see some "____ is dope" "_____ was a greatly mixed album" or something like that.

Too many kids with hater bytches and nikkas as parents as kanye would put it.

hipsters with oversized pants and basketball shoes is the coli concept.
