What does being in shape mean? 3 months for a complete novice isn’t realistic.

If the person has an athletic background then sure

Honestly I don’t know. Cause just cause you “in shape” don’t mean you’re healthy. I’m assuming y’all talking about shedding pounds in here. So I was saying if you already not overweight, that’s half the battle. Of course, a lot of people are not in that boat. I got a naturally slim body frame and a high as metabolism, so i got kind of a cheat code. It’s probably impossible for me to be fat lol. Athletic background can play a part in it. But basically I was just stating the obvious and saying it’s if you already got a head start, it shouldn’t take that long to “get in shape” Like me, I’m already slim. So if I’m not being disciplined, all I have to do is start working out, running, eating healthier, etc... and in 3 months, I’ll be in great shape

You wanna lose 25lbs in 12 weeks, yeah I think that's doable. 2lbs a week is doable, although probably not super easy.

15-20lbs you can def do if you are good about calories restrictions and get in some good cardio. Calories are the real key, I like things like jumping rope and HIIT as a compliment, biking is great when your body is too fatigued since HIIT isn't something you should do every day. Hell, just incorporating more walking in your life can make a bit of a difference to help you get there.

You really should have posted this in the gym section instead. Some of the things people in this section have posted as it pertains to fitness are just absolutely wrong. Truthfully OP, you can lose weight in the time frame. Based on you saying you're flabby, I don't think you could get in shape in 3 months. But my definition of in shape is probably much different than yours.

So I’m currently very :flabbynsick::flabbynsick::flabbynsick:

No stamina whatsoever, 5ft 11 and about 200lbs. I have a slight belly but my frame is quite muscular which sometimes makes people think I work out.

Ive got a holiday booked at the end of July. Beach, sea etc and I want to get in shape for that so what are my chances of being being beach ready for that trip? I wanna be lean at around 175-180 lbs with a six pack and can basically fukk these hoes for a while without gassing out.

Im planning on hitting the gym 4 times a week, doing basically all he major lifts like squats, bench etc followed by 50mins of cardio. My diet is also going to be on point. No sugar, beer junk food etc and eating cleanly.

More lifting less cardio.

Yeah bro your good 2000 cals a day 180 grams of protein a day. 5x5 strength Day A Day B.

Cardio only after you workout and only for 10-20 mins.

3 months is definitely doable for you to get down to 175-180 but you have to be consistent with diet and gym...

How defined you gon look entirely depends on if you have any muscle under that fat you currently carrying...

If you need to add more than 10 pounds lean mass that ain't happening without some help...

I'm on day 24 of my diet which is OMAD + KETO + 2 mile daily walk and i look and feel lighter.

I stay away from the scale because if the results wasn't what i was expecting i would get discouraged and break the diet and on the flipside, if i was happy with the results i would have multiple cheat meals and fukk up my progress :snoop:

im doing monthly weigh-ins...be careful with that scale brehs..

A pound of fat has around 3500 calories. So multiply that with how much weight you want to loose and you know how many calories you need to burn until the end of july. Then divide it by 12 weeks ans again by 7 days and you'll know the calorie deficit you'll need to maintain every day. Working out is good, because a) it allows you to eat more food so you don't have to starve and b) increasing your muscle mass will increase the amount of calories your body will burn, which can help you counter the effect of your metabolism slowing down once you start loosing weight.

So yes, it's possible, but it'll require strict discipline in terms of diet and workout regime.

The amount of water you retain at any point during the day is never really consistent. That's why the scale fluctuates like it does.

You should get some fat calipers to monitor your loss during your journey.
