Is it safe to say GKMC was the album we hoped Lupe would make?

Without a doubt, Lupe said he
was gonna make some dope thought provoking
cohesive project and then dropped F&LII before that he dropped lasers

Both Section.80 AND GoodKidMadCity can fukk with Lupe's best.

You know dudes are d1ck riders when they try to
act like most of the songs on Lasers and F&LII don't feature
borderline basic lyricism the sorta sh1t that gets dudes
like Lil Wayne hate regularly.

I don't even think Lupe likes Hip Hop anymore seems like dude
would much rather make songs for the twilight flicks with
his rock band.

Kendricks verses have more honesty in them. Lupe, while being one of my favorite artists doesnt give it to you straight with no chases. He camoflages his lyrics which is a great talent but sometimes you want the message without having to solve a rubix cube. I dont see how that helps people.

i used to love F&L (not so much the cool) but i think dudes are now realizing that gaysers and all the other wack shyt hes doing now is a DIRECT continuation of his previous work. the cool was always watered down to me because of all the forced indie rock/electronic crossover attempts and cheesy whitewashed hooks he made (which was limited on F&L).

gkmc is what people wanted out of lupe because GKMC is purely hip hop.
but kdot isnt as lyrical as lupe :manny:

i cant listen to F&L anymore because i cant stand this cornball but i wont deny the music on there is just as good as GKMC

It gives it hella replay value. I remember listening to the coolest nikka for the first couple weeks hearing a new metaphor that i didn't the time before. I like that shyt. At the same damn time, kendrick is riding in a different lane and i like his straight forward story telling, that matched with his flow entertains me just as much.

GKMC is dope, but no way im gonna say its better or hit harder than F&L. If they dropped at the same time i dont think you dudes would be comparing them.

hell no...and i like the kendrick album just fine, but i haven't listened to it in months, and it wasn't like i played it over and over and over, it's got a few cuts that i will probably go back to but it's not even touching the cool.
