Plus some people like to conviently gloss over the fact that MJ had Quicy Jones as his coach. One of the greatest musical minds ever. The closest Pac had to that was being engaged to his daughter and having a short term beef with the man.

As an entertainer you can't compare the two. However, on music alone, Pac's lyrics are really more influential and inspiring to me. He also wrote them himself which you can't say for ALL MJ songs. A song like Man In The Mirror has an amazing message but MJ didn't write it. It's a tough comparison but I get what you and the OG thread starter are saying.

Lyrically he didn't outshine some of his peers.
Michael is the greatest of all time period. Dude was more than just a pop star. Matter of fact he didn't even start to take the pop route until thriller and even then he always had elements of different genres in his music.
