No he's not overrated.
Many people highlight his turnovers. Most people at best put him 3 behind Mahomes and Burrow.
So no, he's not overrated by definition when we all know his flaws and knock him accordingly for it. Who else is better? Lawrence? Herbert? Hurts? Lamar?

Favre was throwing over 20 picks fairly regularly. This isn't even close.
Allen has a lower pick rate than Peyton for godsakes.
See this is what I meant. There's really not many guys better than Allen when you actually count it all. Even hurts - Hurts got off to a slow start this year as well, and YOU KNOW he'd be struggling if he had Allen's supporting cast.
Herbert has a case, but also better supporting cast.
Allen has outplayed Lamar in their recent matches and can make more throws than he can.

There's really only like 4 teams that wouldn't feel the need to trade for him. Only 2 that you feel are confirmed without a doubt better.
Hurts and Lamar are DEFINITELY better.
Allen has a bad supporting cast? He has a top 5 Wide receiver(Diggs), top 3 Tight End Duo(Knox a Pro bowler las year, Dalton Kincaid having one of the best TE rookie seasons in the history of the NFL) a decent running game and TWO pro bowlers(Dion Dawkins and Mitch Morse) on the offensive line. Not to mention a defense that keeps them in games. What else does he need? Derrick Henry?
The Bills currently have 12 players that have made the pro bowl.

Currently CJ a rookie, Jared fukkkng Goff, Bayker fukking Mayfield, Herbert, Dak, Noodle arm Tua, Hurst, Lamar to an extent, are all playing the position better than Allen this year.

Stop!!! That Bills defense as firing on all cylinders. Cook had a running game for the ages. It was literally Josh’s INT before the half that gifted Denver 3pts, and his boggled hand off to cook, is what cost them this game. I’ve never seen a QB make so many blunders, and it’s never his fault.
