Mahomes is better as a QB. Brady is the GOAT because of wins.

Mahomes plays QB a level beyond anyone else ever has. It's legit not debatable.

The best QB I've ever seen play is Peyton Manning, and remains so. His peak is the highest I've ever seen and I've been watching the NFL since the 1999 season...

The greatest QB of all time is Tom Brady, he didn't have the highest peak I've seen, Manning's was higher and I could argue Rodgers and Brees were equally as high at peak or slightly greater. But none of these other dudes could do what Brady did in the clutch over and over, so thats why he the GOAT...

I'll say this, that was the best I've seen Mahomes play last night, and that's saying something because he already has a list of top tier performances. This is Y5 for him, no, I do not feel as if I've seen his level of play equal Manning's peak yet---->but I'm also not positive Mahomes has even peaked yet, and I'll grant that watching Mahomes is on the short list of the highest I've seen the position played period. I'm not a fan but I'm not stupid, he's obviously the real deal...

He got a long way to go before he can even be spoken of as a GOAT with any legitimacy though...

From Nov 2020:

Peak Aaron Rodgers would’ve folded against that 49ers defense in the SB last year

And Aaron just put up his WOAT playoff game against a 49ers defense. He folded. Again. :mjlol:

Mahomes is the best QB I’ve ever seen and I’ve thought that since SB 54. I don’t know how anyone can take Rodgers over him at this point

The answer for me is yes.

I've seen enough at this point to put him at that spot. Best i've ever seen list for me goes:

1) Mahomes
2) Rodgers
3) Manning

No.

At times I wasn't sure he was the best QB in game last night and I honestly believe that at the end of it all, Josh Allen COULD be better than him all around

His first year starting he threw 50 tds. It's not Mannings 55 but he's already had MUCH higher playoff peaks in this short span and proven to be more clutch when it matters. He literally has a 24-1 TD-INT Ratio at home in the playoffs.

He's basically got all of prime Rodgers technical ability mixed with Bradys clutch gene, it's insane.

I’ve been watching since 1991, and had a decent eye/love of the sport since maybe 1997-98, and I agree that Manning is the best I’ve ever seen. Same sentiment with you on Brady as well - he is def not the best I’ve ever seen, but he’s the goat based on accomplishments that can’t be taken from him. But I remember the 2000s, Manning was insane and the Indi D was horrible, while the Pats offense was always average, but D was incredible.

Brady still goat though.

But, last night, was the first time I’ve ever watched someone and said “this guy is hands down better than anyone I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Accomplishments make you the best, but it was like watching Randy Moss in his youthful prime or Barry Sanders in 1995…

I mean sheiit, he gotta be up there with Marino and Peyton and them.

There's a certain level of rare arm talent that you will only see from the very very best to ever pick up a football. He definitely passes the eye test in that regard, he routinely does shyt I've never quite seen before, and effortlessly. Pressure on, pressure off don't matter. He's a gunslinger with sniper precision. There's only a few of those guys ever.

Look at the fxcking throws he was making in the super bowl last year with Max pass rush and zero help from his offense. Even the whole Bucs sideline was like holy shyt.

But, last night, was the first time I’ve ever watched someone and said “this guy is hands down better than anyone I’ve ever seen in my life.”

I thought he and Allen played to a draw. It was unbelievable and definitely one of the best QB duels I've ever seen, maybe the best. Some of the throws Allen was making, storming back on the road in a hostile arena with that playoff pressure on, was incredible. Allen played Mahomes to a draw to me, this was definitely high-level quarterbacking on both sides and certainly the best I've seen Allen play considering the circumstances...

Neither more than likely has peaked yet, the bar Manning set as well as others of the generation prior (Brees, Rodgers, Brady) is high for me to just grant someone that praise, particularly given all of these guys did it for more than the 4 years (in Mahomes case) and 2 years (Allen) that these guys have displayed elite game. But no question about it last night was some of the highest display of quarterbacking that has been seen!
