I think you guys are getting "GREATEST Of All Time" confused with "Best/Most Talented of All Time".

To me, it's undisputable that Brady is the GOAT, because of longevity and career accomplishments.

But I have Rodgers, Mahomes and Peyton above him as far as BEST I ever saw.

If some dude came into the NBA tomorrow as a rookie and averaged 100 points per game his rookie year and then blew out his knee and never played again, he wouldn't be the GOAT but could you honestly say that anyone was better at their peak?
You could have said 40-45 PPG but damn nikka 100 PPG?:mjlol::dead:

Philly born. PG raised
Only Rodgers is in the convo. Pat gets more tricky with his shyt but I’ve never seen someone throw a ball like rodgers.

Random and in no way am I comparing him to Rodgers and pat but Cutler threw a beautiful ball. :dame:

Probably not the best considering I have watched Manning Rodgers Brady Brees etc. play over the years but Pat has a chance at the rate he is going.

You could add Carr in as well too...

There definitely has never been a time with so many average and above QBs, ever. The ultimate determinant of these guy's legacies, given that all are really good, will be their respective team's abilities to build appropriately around them. Mahomes has a head start, as he's older than all these guys besides Russ and already has a championship, but these other guys will continue to develop and blaze their own lanes...

This is a really fun time for the NFL, I thought the 00s and 10s was the golden era of the QB given the supernatural influx of talent The League got in those years, but we may haven't seen anything yet. The position is still evolving in front of us, over a century into NFL existence. It's exciting...

And the Curry of this shyt will stay that guy :ahh:

Greatest arm talent is just 1 part of equation brehs.

Brady's ability to presnap changes the whole dynamics. Understanding opponents D presnap is how you make others better.

But as far as arm talent goes he is top 3. I would go mahomes, marino, and rodgers no order

What does best mean though? Most skilled? Most efficient

The problem with "best" is that there is a huge visual bias.

I'm not saying Rodgers and mahomes aren't talented or great because they are, but "best" often skews towards guys who are capable of making super flashy plays.

It's why some people think Kyrie Irving is the "best" pg while Magic and Curry are greater: Kyrie has the most aesthetically pleasing/streetball game.

That isn't a perfect comparison, but you get my point. Mahomes and Aaron obviously have more physical talent than Brady does, but that undersells Brady's talents that stick out less.

It’s still Moreno. The only times I’ve ever witnessed evolutionarily jumps or with Lawrence Taylor, Rakim,
Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, and Dan Marino.

With Mahomes you can still argue… When Marino took that evolutionarily that no one could for see, it was just different. The ball placement was just too perfect. The quick release was mind blowing

To me, “best” is a combination of ability + stats. “Greatest” takes things like longevity and team accomplishments (Super Bowls won) into account, which is why I say Brady is the Greatest but not the Best.

For example, I think Rodgers is capable of making every throw Brady can make. But Rodgers, and Mahomes, routinely do things that I’ve never seen anyone ever do; particularly on the move, outside of the pocket, etc. So I agree that there’s definitely a visual component involved as far as eye test, but that typically aligns with otherworldly talent being displayed that is so unique that you’ve just never seen anything like it. Just like Marino, where he came in and SHATTERED all previous passing records and even though he lost to the Niners in ‘84, it would be hard for anyone to argue that he wasn’t the best they ever saw while he was playing.

To your example, if Kyrie was putting up better numbers than Steph and Magic and doing things neither of those guys were doing, all while doing stuff they were capable of doing on their best day (he can’t), then it would be a stronger argument.
