voted yes 2 years ago when the thread was made and he continues to prove it true today

brady is the GOAT but take away longevity and accolades and there hasnt been a QB who has impressed me more than mahomes. 2-3 more rings and another regular season MVP or 2 and hes the official GOAT.

I'm not using that argument but other folks will.

I already said Mahomes don't need 8 rings to surpass Brady.
8 rings in 25 seasons when you will still be elite is not extremely hard to do. Right now, most of the elite QBs are really young like Mahomes. There is no one in that 28-34 prime that's really challenging Mahomes.

In all fairness, Burrow is having some of the best seasons to this date for a QB at the start of his career.

For me, I still like the pre 2007 rule change QBs who had to do it when defenses were allowed to beat up the WRs and QBs. Anything 2007 and later was a much an easier game
2011 was when the tide turned. 2007 was still old school. Manning won MVP in 08 with 27 tds and won MVP in 2009 with 16 ints.

Same. Manning was always the clear playing GOAT for me till Mahomes. Brady is tremendous, career goat for sure but I never watched Brady like, he's the best I've ever seen. I always felt him and Montana are similar in that they are goats but they don't really dominate at will all that much like Marino, Manning, or Mahomes does. They just are consistently excellent and that's extremely hard to do. Mahomes has some bad games. As did Marino but Brady and Montana always seemed to play excellent football. Just a level of consistency I truly enjoyed from these two. Rodgers should be in the mix too if we are being honest
I can't put Rogers in the mix at all. He's just lost too many games he shouldn't have. I know Peyton lost a bunch like that but Rodgers' is twice as bad.

If Pat gets to 4 with this same level of play you can crown him, he won't need the longevity stat compiling career to make a case. If they had beat TB in the Super Bowl you may have already given him the crown though

2007, it just took time to get the new types of players in to fit where the game was going

The eye test shows he's on another level to anyone that has ever played the position. And he's already had more legendary performances in the playoffs than Rodgers and Manning combined.

This playoff run he's had playing on a grade 2 high ankle sprain for 11 of 12 quarters tells me he'll be the best quarterback if he was placed in any era.

He's going to have some bad moments as well in the future of course but if he retires right now and never takes another snap in the NFL, he'll be 3rd all time on my list already behind Brady and Montana.

And he's also a great human being as well. Just a perfect player.

He didn’t win BIG until he got Mahomes

I’m not trying to shyt on Andy Reid either he’s a great coach but he didn’t win anything until Mahomes

You need the great coach AND the once in a generation QB in order to make magic happen

Just look at the history of the NFL

I wouldnt say Andy couldnt win without a great QB,because he really is that good at play calling, and getting nice production out of good quarterbacks.

But people seem to forget the knock on Andy Reid was stupid play calling at the wrong time, bad clock management, post season meltdowns. All things weve still seen him do to this day. The difference is Mahommes can win in spite of Andy Reids "knocks".

He's up there that much I can say. And after 5 years of starting I don't see anything other than a major injury stopping him from being the best to ever do it.

What do you mean you wouldn’t say Andy couldn’t win without a great QB that‘s EXACTLY what happened.

He couldn’t win the SB until he got the All Time Great QB and Mahomes is an ALL TIME GREAT.

He didn’t win it with McNabb

Because think he couldve and probably wouldve eventually won if he just stopped being stupid. I could be wrong because as I said,he still does stupid things until this day. But maybe if he had kept losing he wouldve tightened up and stopped making boneheaded decisions. Thanks to Mahommes bailing him out,he hasnt really had to.

Oh you right about that Andy Reid bullshyt :mjlol:

His clock management is bad and he doesn’t wanna run the football

It will be 3rd and 1 and he’ll lineup in an empty set 5 WRs

:dead:
