@murksiderock would you say Mahomes is the best QB you have ever seen? If not who would you say is the best you have ever seen??
Peyton Manning is the best QB I've ever seen play the position. He innovated the sport from pre-snap, all these mf's are his sons and nobody was controlling the game the way he did it, before him.

He could make every single throw, had the arm, the instincts, everything. I hated this big head mf most of his career because I'm a Titans fan and we never beat this goofy mf 🤣 but I miss watching this guy play.

By far the most dominant regular season quarterback of all time, the most innovative quarterback of all time. I've yet to see anyone with that level of comprehension, mastery, and dominance of the position.

Impeccable footwork too, he obviously had no mobility to speak of but his dance in the pocket was art.

Manning obviously isn't the greatest of all time, he wilted too many times in the playoffs. But the best to play the position I've ever seen, easily.

Who's the greatest in your opinion? Also how you the best but when it matters the most, you wilt and fold? Isn't that where the mastery, domination should show up? That's the best of the best going at each other..

The greatest quarterback of all time is Tom Brady, hands down. He was consistently great in the regular season, consistently great in the playoffs, with some of the greatest playoff moments a quarterback ever had.

That 28-3 comeback vs Atlanta was essentially his LeBron 3-1 comeback. Nobody in the history of the sport ever did this in the Super Bowl, nobody could, mf's have been down 25 in the Super Bowl before. Just like mf's have been down 3-1 in The Finals before.

He did this game 2 years AFTER the 4thQ comeback vs the Legion Of Boom, who I staunchly believe is the greatest defense of all time;

And after the 28-3 comeback, the very next year he had a 500 yard passing game in the Super Bowl loss to Philly, which was basically LeBron's G1 2018 performance.

These are just 3 historically great Super Bowl performances, and quite arguably the 3 greatest SB performances ever. Certainly 28-3 is #1, there's never been anything like that. But aside from these games, there's a list of Playoff Brady games I can point to as historically significant.

The combination of a long prime + historic peak + consistent regular season greatness + consistent raising the bar in the playoffs + some of the greatest postseason games ever, =Tom Brady is the GOAT.

Manning has those first 3 points, but not the last two. That's why he isn't the GOAT. His year over year regular season dominance eclipses everybody, including Brady. There have been a lot of dominant quarterbacks, and Brady's ability to control the game when in disadvantageous situations, vs elite defenses, are his unique superpower.

Manning's, was being the greatest computer under center ever. Mf was a computer.

@murksiderock who would you say are your top 10 quarterbacks ever at playing the position of QB if Peyton is number 1? Who would you have at 2-10?
I gotta think about that one, bro! Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, Brees are all in there. Guys I haven't seen but would probably make it are Marino and Unitas, just off legend.

I mean....Manning is just doing what Johnny Unitas, Staubach etc, were doing back in the old days of calling their own plays and handling shyt solo-dolo

He's a modern version of the old skool field general.

Rodgers had more raw talent.

Brady was better in high leverage situations (Eli was too).

Marino had a better arm but was a crappy leader.

Peyton definitely made the film study/nerdy aspect of QB play more popular. Scouts & GMs realized that you need a dude to understand all the little nuances to effectively play the QB position at a high level.
