Mayweather wanted this fight badly nearly jumped 2 divisions to do so, he was the draw despite Wright beating Mosley, nobody was paying to see no boring ass Winky Wright, Winky went on to overprice himself like he did vs Taylor, Margarito, ODH and plenty of others(bytch ass nikka, one of my favs but I call it like I see it). All Mayweather wanted was a rehydration clause between 165-170 and Winky walked away and ducked...................

Guys, this thread is about the comparisons between the careers, legacies, etc of Mayweather AND Marciano. Lets keep stanning at a minimum and stay on topic and not turn this thread into another pacquaio KTFO/mayweather PPV #s/shane mosleys toothache thread.

Floyd didnt ask for it Canelo put the catchweight on the table and Floyd agreed. What reason does Canelo have for offering a catchweight other than a ready made excuse for the L hes gonna catch ? At least Floyd is gonna let the man rehydrate unlike certain other fighters.

If your allowed to rehydrate then the catchweight is mostly meaningless. Floyd could have pressed for one but didnt. Canelo is gonna step in the ring at his normal fight weight in the upper 160s odds are Floyd will top
out at 152 or less meaning at minimum hes gonna be giving up 15 lbs

His fight against Trout him and Austin were actually below 154 for the weigh in and both guys were 170-171
on fight night

1. I think I remember that being a problem for Floyd.

2. Trout is naturally bigger than Floyd. It was no problem for him to rehydrate that big. Floyd is one of those guys that walls around at 147.

If it was I hadnt heard about it and like I said it wasnt Floyd who asked for it but Canelo who offered it .

I know my point was about Canelo I just added Trout in because he also gained almost 20 lbs like Canelo did

You actually made a great point in bringing up Trout. But Floyd is naturally a small dude. He can't rehydrate to such a huge amount.

Ive never heard Floyd ask for one and a catchweight wouldnt realy mollify Floyd if he had asked for it because Canelo is still gonna weigh in at the same weight he always does.

I'm only going by what I've read. Not sure if it qualifies as rumors.

Things is I'm not here to bash Floyd or defend him. I do think it's amazing how far some of these cats will go to do either.

Seems like its always some underlying agenda when speaking on Floyd, this thread in particular. @Final Boss
produces a video directly answering the OP's post of critics saying Floyd ducked certain fighters or purposely fought them out of their primes (Moseley) and the OP glosses over that FACT in the video provided and chose to comment on CATCHWEIGHT only. I mean what are we doing here? What's the purpose of replying when no matter what is said or what facts are presented, Floyd would still be slighted or even boosted up on some made up bull. He's the only fighter who goes through this, shyt is laughable, really.
