prime Shane
prime Cotto at 147
prime Pac
prime Khan
Hatton at 140, his prime weight
Margerito
Paul
Martinez
Tszyu
Broner

:manny:
OK we can sacle thi list down to 2 category's, career definging and the others

HOF career defining fights:

Prime shane- has been running from May shadow since his LW days, and also gave the most bytchmade excuse to duck a fight, later went on to give Shane the ass whipping of his life
Prime Manny- No qualms on that end for me, he doesnt get slighted for Manny ducking though
Cotto- Cotto was prime at 140 not 147, he took nothing but ass whippings at 147, and cotto ducked that fight at 140 then which he admitted, he later went on to fight a more impressive looking Cotto at 154, in Floyds most action packed back and forth fight

Bums nikkas:
Khan-Lined up to face mayweather over and over but kept getting knocked out
Margarito-Didnt keep winning like Mayweather told him to; los to pdubb
Paul-Lost to bum ass Quitana
Martinez-Bum ass cherry picker 2 weight classes above FMJ
Tszyu-Ducked May over and over after years of Mayweather calling him out and lost in the set up match to Hatton
Hatton-Undeafeated fighting at May's weight, although FMJ might off dragged Ricky up that was to his benefit and that showed in the ring dude walks around at 200 and probably was 15-20 pounds heavier than Floyd in the ring

So out of the 3 fights you can truly slight FMJ for he gave 2 of them massive asswhippings...............:comeon:

we can leave Pac out for now and save 20 pages of me sonning you nikkas.. MOVING ON

Prime Shane said he would've fought Mayweather anytime after that year having fought twice that year already .. you stans can keep bringing up his toothache claims doesn't change that fact..

Cotto ducked Floydie at 140? well Floydie most certainly ducked Cotto at 147.. and this was after decisive wins vs Zab AND Shane..

Those "Bum nikkas" are all notable fighters that would look great on Floydie resume looking back... Floydie/Paul Floydie/Margerito Floydie/Kahn would have generated more revenue than Floydie/Ghost, Floydie/Ortiz and Floydie/Marquez.. and the fact that he used that bytchmade excuse that they got a loss holds ZERO weight with me considering how eager Floydie was still choosing to fight Zab after his embarrassing loss against fukking Baldomir :skip: Floydie coulda made every last one of those fights happen but chose instead to retire not once but twice waisting time with Dancing with the stars and WWE, lying about negotiations taking place with Pac etc instead of competing and cementing himself undisputed top 3 GOAT...

And THIS is why I didnt want to reply- cuz theres no point! Every name thats given, you give your opinion on and strike down. I would then defend the names on the list, and then you would just strike them down again. Theres no point in discussing this with you cuz discussions with you end up nowhere since youre limited to your own opinion despite the lack of logic in it and then it turns into a back and forth. Bottom line is, whether you agree or not, the boxing community and the critics consider Floyd a cherry picker and a ducker.

SKIP- Think logically, PLEASE- how can that question be answered until theyre on the ballot for entry into the HOF? I would have never thought Gatti would be in there, but he is. So we wont know how many HOF'ers are on there until its time for them to be either accepted or denied for HOF status.

AGAIN- after they get accepted/denied into/from the HOF, then your question can be answered. Until then, its just speculation. :snoop:

But the truth remains, if Mayweather did fight those guys and win, Floyd stans would use those names to showcase his greatness: "Mayweathers the best of all time! He beat Tsyzu, prime Cotto, prime Williams, outclassed prime Margarito, etc...."

I always liked Rocky Marciano. He always deserved respect but the funny thing was he was only 180lbs..he would of been in Roy's division in this generation.

:manny: I don't see why I'm painted as a guy who hates Mayweather, I simply call it as I see it. I've followed Floyd from early on in his career (post the Olympics) . I, like a lot of people, really liked Floyd and we knew this dude was the one. I'll b the 1st to say that he's fought good / solid fighters. But, whether it's because people thought he was ducking or maybe there were circumstances involved, there are fights he did miss out on and or fought when they weren't at their best. The marquee fights is what launches fighters into legendary status as it did with Leonard, Hearns, Robinson, etc. When you talk about those guys you talk about who they fought immediately and each of those guys were in career changing marquee fights against guys in their primes. Now, the names that most people will throw out there as to who Floyd didn't fight or fought too late are as follows:

Joel Casamayor
Antonio Margarito
Kosta Tszyu
Miguel Cotto (2008)
Manny Pacquiao

It's up for debate, but it's not the point of the post. I don't think necessarily Floyd is or was afraid of any of those guys mentioned, but what I will ask is, were these the best versions Floyd fought?

Oscar De La Hoya
Shane Mosley
Miguel Cotto
Ricky Hatton
Juan Manuel Marquez

These without a doubt are the biggest names on Floyd's resume, but if you gauge when he fought them it's :ehh:but most of his fans see it as :whew:. That's why I :russ:when people discredit fights like Pac vs Cotto because of either catchweight or that Cotto was beat up already. But then you think, what did Floyd fight...a clone from 2008? :mjpls:. Again, I think Floyd is one of the greatest fighters this generation and quite possibly ever, but even being a fan of his you gotta keep it 100 and just see Floyd's career for what it is.

Seems like its always some underlying agenda when speaking on Floyd, this thread in particular. @Final Boss
produces a video directly answering the OP's post of critics saying Floyd ducked certain fighters or purposely fought them out of their primes (Moseley) and the OP glosses over that FACT and chose to comment on CATCHWEIGHT only. I mean what are we doing here? What's the purpose of replying when no matter what is said or what facts are presented, Floyd would still be slighted or even boosted up on some made up bull. He's the only fighter who goes through this, shyt is laughable, really.
Simply put, people aren't fans of the dude. I'm not much of a fan either. But I do admire the work he's put into his craft.

But it's not that simple. Just because you aren't a fan of someone doesn't mean you (not you directly) try to find angles just to slight him. I'm not a huge fan certain fighters but I'm not up here or anywhere else trying to tarnish fighters legacy with some bullshyt like supposedly ducking or fighting in the "wrong" era. That's bullshyt, niqqas ain't fans of the science they're fans of talking stupid shyt and they don't even try to agree on purpose. Floyd is a bad motherfukka, that's simply put.
