Seems like its always some underlying agenda when speaking on Floyd, this thread in particular. @Final Boss
produces a video directly answering the OP's post of critics saying Floyd ducked certain fighters or purposely fought them out of their primes (Moseley) and the OP glosses over that FACT in the video provided and chose to comment on CATCHWEIGHT only. I mean what are we doing here? What's the purpose of replying when no matter what is said or what facts are presented, Floyd would still be slighted or even boosted up on some made up bull. He's the only fighter who goes through this, shyt is laughable, really.

Simply put, people aren't fans of the dude. I'm not much of a fan either. But I do admire the work he's put into his craft.

Yall forgetting bout Canelo feeling himself N big timing Floyd taking himself off the PPV

This nikka Floyd ain't forget that shyt hes in charge N goin let your ass kno:lolbron:
This...................

He had to discpline Canelo for that bullshyt after he handwalked and manufacture Canelo, Floyd has shown he has no issues whatsoever with 154, luckily for Canelo the Trout fight wasnt in Vegas, he was able to benefit off that open scoring

Floyd didnt ask for it Canelo put the catchweight on the table and Floyd agreed. What reason does Canelo have for offering a catchweight other than a ready made excuse for the L hes gonna catch ? At least Floyd is gonna let the man rehydrate unlike certain other fighters.

Floyd wanted 147, Canelo wanted 154. They both met at 152. How does this become "Canelo has an excuse now" :what: As for "other" fighters not letting others rehydrate, to my recollection, that "other" fighter let his opponent come in 17lbs heavier than him.

Aren't yall bytching about a catchweight, thats a built in excuse for him when he will simply weigh in 1 pound less than the Trout fight, and 2 pounds more than the weight he won his paper title at........................

I've never been someone who was holding up the "Catchweights Ruin Boxing" flag because it's been around for decades. My only thing is you can't call out a fighter for making catchweight fights and you yourself are about to be in your 2nd catchweight fight. To me, if both fighters agree, it's on them. If Canelo bytches about the catchweight after the fight, that's his problem because he agreed to it, the same way Marquez agreed to it with Floyd, the same way De La Hoya agreed to it, the same way Donny Lalonde agreed to it, etc. In essence, you're actually not giving Floyd the credit for beating Canelo if you're making the excuse for him already :heh:

154 is truly not Floyd weight, he said post Cotto he wouldnt even return there, he doesnt even fully make 147 foe his WW bouts. The difference between this catch and Manny's is Mayweather was evening the playing field not seeking an advantage like Manny...............................

Manny Catchweighted Cotto after Mopping the floor with ODH a fight that took place at 147(Allegedly), then runs to fight Clottley bum ass at 147 with no qualms

Fights Margarito at a catch of 150, not that AM puts on heavy pounds, AM a fighter known to over train(there talks of him peaking 3 to 4 weeks prior, still gave Manny the fight of his life)and that he was he truly had nothing after 5, he just had the heart to keep fighting back and nearly put Manny on his ass and sending on his bicycle

Fights JMM who allgedy aint shyt at 144 only to get a one sided ass whipping

People start to complain about his catchweights, so he start picking on LWW, thinking he a bigger man

Go on to face Bradley losses

Faces JMM at a full 147 a weight that JMM didnt want he wanted it at 140 then proceeded to get ko'ed

Fighting another LWW.........................

Everything Manny does is about an advantage nikka has to have the deck somehow stacked in his favor to step into the ring, how bytchmade is that:pacspit:

Floyd Sr is the one that said that Canelo needs to be 147 or the fight wouldn't happen

Who was it that came in 17 lbs heavier If I'm wrong than I stand corrected but I don't recall that happening

Tell your boys to calm down:smugfavre:

In a way he is, fighters are only judged with how they deal with and return from adversity, Mayweather and Marciano doesnt have that measuring stick because they took no l's and they get slighted for it. History will be kinder to Floyd though his resume is littered with numbers 1's, when its all said and done people aint gonna give a fukk about some bum nikkas who he aint fight......

I dont see history being much kinder to him than the present day. Already hes considered a cherry picker, already hes considered as a fighter more interested in $ than legacy, already hes considered a ducker. I dont see him receiving more praise from the critics after he retires, unless he ends his career on a positive note competition wise.

If anything we are already seeing people coming around on Floyd the only people who consider Floyd a ducker are morons and haters. Comparing him to Marciano is rediculous and a disservice to Floyd
most if not all Rocky's fights were fixed. You could either get down or get laid down(6 feet)
