80s R&B

Black music peaked around the late 70s/Early 80s era. Don’t get me wrong, my favorite era is 90s R&B, but objectively speaking, the former era was where you truly had to hone your craft.

Once studio “magic” came into the mix, that’s when less talented artists became “pop stars”. More emphasis on the product than actually creating an artist.

Listening to Ray Charles. They don't make em like this no more. All the music instruments in the background is what really set those eras off. Piano, Trumpet, Drums, Saxophone.

Music used to be fun. Everything is soulless beats now.

All those instruments being played by humans each with their own character touch and timing. Can't replicate that with software no matter how great it is. Yes the soul less present.
