Read the entire post for context. Never said anything about Aaliyah using profanity, acknowledge the OTHER point I brought up. And you dont have to use profanity for it to trashy. Alot R&B old and new is trashy. Talking about sleeping with other another woman boyfriend/husband, "Doggystyle" by D.J, I could go on forever. These are great songs but them shyts are not as classy as yall make them out to be. shyt is literally no better than todays R&B.

This song is straight up about cheating but it's clean and subtle. Parents can play this joint in the whip with the kids in the back without the kids even knowing what the song is really about. Also no outright cursing.

Yeah it's terrible, hip hop and r&b is nothing more than a race to the bottom these days. I don't allow my daughter to be exposed to none of today's " Black music". It wasn't some perfect utopia in the 80s and 90s but at least R&B was more respectable. Now they barely have talent and don't use "real songwriters"
