Is Steph Curry on his way to passing up Zeke & Stockton & being the 2nd best PG after Magic?

At this moment I'd still take GP over Curry. But Curry will probably pass everyone in due time.
Yeah it's too early to start giving him a fixed position. If he continues along this curve for the rest of his prime (doesn't even need another title), then he'll probably finish over every PG except for Magic.

Never seen anybody control a game like him. He knew exactly when and how to take over:patrice:. Always got the sense he could score at will if he wanted to and he was a beast on NBA Live.:whew:
Stockton was amazing. the perfect point guard, always put his teammates in the right positions to score. Dude destroyed Magic's assist record in record time and still has the steals record after all these years with no one close

Curry in the same sentence with Magic:mjlol::skip:
Why didn't Billups get the same treatment if all you have to be is a pg who won a title and he actually won a finals mvp:heh:
Curry is not even in the top 10 let alone close to GP, Kidd, Zeke, Stockton, Magic
Was Billups the leading scorer of that team? Did Billups average near 30 ppg all throughout the playoffs in 2004?

Curry will be ahead of all those PGs, except for Magic, when he retires. :manny:

:whoa: Let lead the league in assist and win another championship first:damn:
He doesn't need to lead the league in assists. High individual assist numbers don't mean shyt. If you're getting all those assists and not running an efficient offense, what purpose does that style of play serve?

Let me put it like this for you - would the Warriors have the same amount of success if Curry cut his shooting proclivity back to looking to pass more than he scored?

Maybe that's the issue then. Maybe i should accept these new nikkas then. My definition of PG to me is someone who's getting his teammates involved 1st and himself involved last.
Your definition of a PG should be someone that knows when to score and when to involve his teammates. A PG that looks to score first will always put his team in a better position of winning than a PG that looks to pass first. If you look to involve yourself last, you're inadvertently harming your own offense.

well being the leading scorer for your team doesn't mean much to the finals mvp voters:manny:
Iggy received that because the media were so fixated on LeBron's #s/performance, that they ended up giving it to the player that brought them back down to earth. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any problems with Iggy getting it, but if you were to weigh up Curry's and Iggy's contributions/impact during the Finals - Curry would come out on top. Cleveland's entire defense centered around on getting the ball out of Curry's hands - allowing all the role players to get open looks and yet he still managed to average 10 more points than everybody else on the team.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
LOL @ THIS shytTY THREAD...

AND @Malta iS HILARIOUS...
HE shytS ON MALONE ALL THE TIME
AND NOW HE TURNS AROUND AND PROPS HIM UP SO HE CAN shyt ON STOCKTON.

THAT SCORE 1ST PG shyt WAS NOT POPPING IN STOCKTONS ERA
SO DONT ACT LIKE HE COULDNT SCORE.

WE TALKING ABOUT A DUDE WHO AVERAGED 17 PTS, 15 AST & 3 STLS
ON 51% FG, 42% 3P

PLEASE NEVER MENTION CURRY NOR CP3 IN THE SAME SENTENCE WITH STOCK & ZEKE.

GS WASNT WINNING shyt UNTIL THE FINALS MVP WAS INSERTED INTO THE LINEUP.

I shyt on Malone for not having a dominant back to the basket game on the block and how am I propping him up by saying he averaged 30ppg? That's just a fact :mjpls: and they couldn't win a title when Mike retired either, two top 50 players, the alleged 2nd best PF ever and 3rd best PG ever couldn't get it done? We out here shytting on Nash and CP3, but copping pleas for Stockton now? If Nash & CP3 played in the 90s they'd be getting all this unfiltered love as well :mjpls:

And CP3 averaged 23/11/6/3 on 50% he still gets shytted on, maybe the Jazz could have won a title if Stockton looked for his own shot more, and why you posting that he shot 42% from 3 my breh, he took 1.4 threes per game that year, we just seen a dude take 11 a game and shoot 42% on em :dead:

And in the end, the Warriors won, which can't be said about any pass first PG led squad since Magic :smugbiden:

The decline in the pass first point guard has a direct correlation with the decrease of importance in the post.

:sas2: @Malta

Stockton always having the ball is why Karl Malone never developed a dominant back to the basket game. Kind of like how Blake can't seem to develop one whenever The Dribbler is around :troll:

Spurs won titles with a PG that shoots first :wow:

Breh how old are you?

Tiny Archibald birthed the scoring PG before them n1ggas were born..And KJ and Zeke took it to the next level...

Peak years

Tiny 34 and 10

Zeke 22 and 14

KJ 23 and 11

Baron Davis 22 and 8

Steve Francis 21 and 7

Marbury 23 and 8

Them n1ggas ain't open the door to nothing but over eating, smoking crack and having bi-polar meltdowns on TMZ...

:camby:

My dude, I should be asking how old you are if you out here referencing Tiny Archibald, I'm :flabbynsick: but not old enough to have seen no prime Tiny :wtf:

And check the 3 point attempts on :DripDrip:, Franchise and Marbury, they followed in the footsteps of Tim Hardaway, who was out here taking 8 threes a game at one point. You think Westbrook, Lillard, Curry, Kyrie etc was watching footage of Tiny Archibald :russ:
