Is Steph Curry on his way to passing up Zeke & Stockton & being the 2nd best PG after Magic?

Curry relies on screens too much. Illegal screens at that.

He can ball but truth is he is not better than CP3; what makes him dangerous is the ability to pull up a 3pt shot unexpectedly. I expect him to be guarded the same way Delly did for the regular season going forward. At some point they are going to start calling all the offensive fouls on his screen setters and he will have to play like a real point guard.

I agree except Westbrook was avg almost 9 assists this past season with no durant while averaging 28 ppg. He can feed the ball and create successful plays for his teammates when he has to.

Russy also had the highest usage of anyone in the league as well. If kd is healthy he won't put upthose numbers

Curry isn't scoring just off screens though. There' plenty of videos online where you can see him destroying one on one without a screen. There's almost no doubt Curry can lay without screens, because he has shown to be able to do so in the past. Some of his games where he dropped a ton of points he's done plenty of the damage without screens.

If the Warriors have a game plan to use screens with Curry because they feel it's how the offense as a whole best runs, then can you blame them for having a solid game plan? That same game plan got them a title.

Curry averaged more points and assists the season before than Marbury did in his best season while taking less shots and had less minutes per game. This season Curry put up similar numbers on even less minutes and shots.

Also Curry averaged far less minutes than Duncan did on his way to averaging similar points as well.

Curry averaging 24 points and 8 assists in 32 minutes of basketball brehs. That's nearly just 2 and a half quarters. While leading his team to 67 wins in the more difficult conference and even won a title on top of it.

Give him 40 minutes like LeBron's early years in Cleveland and Curry would be averaging 30 and 10 in a more difficult conference than what LeBron was in.

Marbury has 3 seasons of 9apg which Curry has yet to do. I don't even have to look up these numbers but as a Knick he averaged 9.3 one season. He also was at 9 the lockout year which would've been the year he was traded. Curry has 1 season of 8apg (8.5 I think). Steph averaged more apg and less TOs. The shooting I'll give Curry, but nothing else. He also got bottled up by physical play. No other superstar PG would let that happen. He's never gonna get up to 10apg, not even with 40mpg. Speak on what he's done, not what he could probably do. He has a long way to go.

I'm can name 10 PGs easily that I won't take Curry over. Now is that too say he wasn't the best PG this year...no. He has a case, as does Westbrook and CP3. But 1 season doesn't take you over those that did it forever.

You completely contradicted yourself in the underline though.

I also did speak on what Curry did though, he had similar numbers playing significantly less than Marbury did. Dude was much more efficient. Also, he just did what Marbury didn't, win a title.

Don't even know why we're comparing Curry to Marbury. Marbury was one of my favorite pg's to watch, but no way do I take him over Curry in a draft, I don't care what the team looks like.

The way I see it, Curry proved he can lead a team to win based on his style of play. Thats all that matters.

We could go on and on, but I guess we'll all have to agree to disagree here.

Just because someone averages more points per game doesn't necessarily mean their a better scorer, from what I've seen Zeke was better, plus he didn't need a gimmick offense to get buckets.

I can't believe somebody can be so ignorant to statistics.

What does that have to do with being the better pg? Dude didnt deliver like he was supposed to for the entire finals. Kerr/or his assistants made the Iggy adjustment and the guy balled out both sides of the floor/was the x factor. Curry is one dimensional man, points or nothing. The Drake of the NBA.
:mindblown:

I swear some of yall say the dumbest shyt sometimes. How the hell can you say he didn't deliver when he averaged 10 more points per game than every other Warrior?

When it comes to basketball no other sport goes so over the top with nostalgia, it's honestly insane.
