But the Constitution hasn't been frequently updated. By definition, that makes it outdated.
There are dozens of laws on the books from the early 1900s from states..fix those if you care.
But the Constitution hasn't been frequently updated. By definition, that makes it outdated.
This is why our country is crumbling. Those two, the senate and EC are designed to overrule the will of the public. Either our democracy dies or the senate and EC have to cease to exist. The two are no longer compatible and we aren’t getting through another election with the present system intact are at least with any integrity.the electoral college and the senate need to go, they make no sense, its trying to find a way to make the person with less votes win, everyone is so worried west bumble fukk wont be represented but have no issue with NY, cali, texas, etc all the most populated areas not deciding anything. its ass backwards logic. so many things in america would NEVER fly in most other first world countries. like who cares about london, lets let some village with 100 people decide the election. even customary units like what is this measurement system that only we used and is based on nothing while everyone else uses a logical system based on 10s.
The biggest mistake in American history was not hanging all the confederate leaders and letting those states have representatives in government after the war. They should’ve been treated like occupied territories for at least the next century with no governing voice and union soldiers policing every facet of their society by force. By letting them live and just move on like a 4 year war over slavery that killed half a million people was just a heated argument, we basically let them win the war. Now they’ve poisoned society to the point that government can’t function. The major problem with redesigning American law is that like 30% of the population believe in every insane conspiracy theory. We'd have fistfights in neo-congress over keeping gold fringe off the flag so the lizard queen can't use maritime law to give our guns to transgender clones.
We'd have to shut those idiots out of the process.
Which they'd never accept, so basically we just need to break up.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
I really should have added the disproportionate power of the US Senate. This is a question thats been on my mind recently, and though it is because of Trump it actually isnt related to him.
I don't know, I just ask. What do you all think?
- The terms in office can lead to dramatic changes in policy
- Elections being every 2 years lead to more populist policy instead of stable policy
- Executive Orders can potentially undue legislations
- Age limit to be an elected official
- The difficulty in amending the constituion
