Nope.

If being able to be a part of a franchise was the sole qualification of ones Hollywood status, than Tyrese Gibson would be considered an A-list actor and that is clearly not the case.

There are those who will always be considered among the A-list due to their previous work and those who have more moderate success at the box office, but their celebrity is pronounced.

Anne Hathaway cemented her A-list status with, 'The Devil Wears Prada'.

'The Notebook' kicked off the start of Ryan Gosling having a huge following, but it was the choices that he made after that helped to put him on the A-list, particularly in 2011.

Again, being considered "A-list" isn't just about box office receipts, it's about visibility and acclaim.

She's not making money=her not being A list. WTF is up with the comprehension issues this week?

Her movies DOES NOT make money. What on earth are you talking about? Anne Hathaway? She has no record breaking movies under her belt..she did a bunch of Princess movies, Get Smart starring the Rock, that Havoc DVD release where she showed her titties, that movie where she punched her mother, etc. She does critical roles.

Will Smith won't be getting any Oscar nods NO TIME soon but he's A List because he puts some shyt out every July that makes money because of the same lemmings falling for his schtick.

This is DAMN true like Kurt would say. I mean Gosling doesn't cash in the box office but to say that he isn't an A lister but Rock is? :mindblown:

Gosling is everywhere else when it comes to Hollywood. That's what makes him an A-list actor. Same goes Hathaway as well.

So discrediting Anne Hathaway, Ryan Gosling and George Clooney to build up The Rock's acting career is what's hot on TSC now?

Is this what TSC is going to be like between now and Wrestlemania?

Discrediting? LOL. NUMBERS NEVER LIE. Simple as that.

Ryan Gosling is everywhere? WTF. Since when? LMAO.

shyt is buck wild. Everyone on this site SLAMMED Anne Hathaway when she got added to Dark Knight Rises but now they claim she's "A LIST"? She's Angelina Jolie's equal?

A List Women are

Angelina Jolie
Natalie Portman
Julia Roberts
Scarlett Johanssen

Anne Hathaway is critically acclaimed but she doesn't headline over everyone else in her flims.

Basically.

The Rock is a consistently working B-tiered actor. This is something that he is clearly content with, otherwise he would hone his skills and be more choosy about the roles he accepts.

Some of these dudes :cape: for The Rock sound like the 50 Cent stans in The Booth. A better question would be would consider Dewey a better actor than some of the people whom apparently Dewey blows away at the box office. That will tell you who's a Rock fan and whose a Rock stan.

I would like to believe that even the biggest Stan's know that the Rock's acting... is passable at best. :heh:

So that's what this is all about? More baiting and more whining? LOL. Typical. I was wondering since the question was answered in the first page and all of this crying about Hathaway and nyggas simping for Ryan Gosling on a undercover tip was unnecessary.

Didn't R=G saying in his first post in this thread that Rock wasn't an A-List actor....In fact I thought he was specifically talking about Box office draws.

Involve the Rock and you'll get :gladbron: responses every time breh.

Basically.

The Rock is a consistently working B-tiered actor. This is something that he is clearly content with, otherwise he would hone his skills and be more choosy about the roles he accepts.

That's all it is. This is kind of a loaded question because there are two typical ways (and probably even more) to be considered an A-list actor. You can be amazing at the craft or you can be a major box office draw. I don't think he's there by either definition. IMO, he's definitely not there based on pure acting skill and he needs a couple more hits under his belt (especially as leading man) for me to consider him an A-list draw. I think he's closer to being the next Arnold/Stallone than the next Denzel though. Hopefully he gets back to the pure action movies soon cause there's a major void that he could easily slide right into in the action genre.

Either way, he's definitely content and seems to be:win: at all aspects of life. I'm a big fan, but I'm also a realist :manny:

I like Anne Hathaway but she's not a bigger star the Rock. She got that nomination but she's not bigger box office than him. Pitt usually is but he doesn't drop bigger movies than the Rock these days and neither does Jolie.

And Clooney isn't A List...he gets nominated for a few things, which is very questionable because of his big shot Hollywood friends but he doesn't carry movies or has stand out performances on his own at all on a consistent basis. Never have. That Ocean Stuff wasn't about him..it was the cast.
