:dead:How much more clear can 80's baby be? Baby in the 80's nikka. :salute:1981 checking in

:wtf:I didnt say we founded hip hop, i said we made it a global movement. De La Soul and ATCQ were soft, but unlike yall, they embraced it. Nobody is talking about thug life, we talking about hard life. Struggle. We came up in a time where you had to keep it real, no matter what your real was you had to be who you were. Nowadays people keep it fantasy.

Hip hop became big because we showed the world the young black experience. We were saying something, standing for something, representing the harsh realities of street life. The suburbs came to us, nowadays we running to the suburbs. Thats why people music aint selling. Nobody wants to buy the wack shyt. Where is the Nas of this generation? Who is the Tupac? Who is the Wu Tang? What was the last classic album made by somebody under 25?

Those harsh realities have died down a lot. On top of gentrification making it safer for kids to be kids again. On top of black folk opening our minds and getting more out of life than the limited mindset of the streets. There are a lot of things that make black kids of today not re-create the shyt from the 90s cause the circumstances changed A LOT.

Mind you, the higgest selling rap album this year came fro a MC pushing 44 years old that talks about getting away from that shyt call street life. The 2nd highest selling rap album that dropped in 2013 is a simp. The third highest his a low-key lyrical dude that people call "boring" cause he mentally ahead of the game and none of the drama while outselling Kanye. If the addiction of street life is necessary for black folk to strive for better, then I'm all for it.

And this is my point again. How are you going to hype up something that you weren't even able to use? Y'all "hard" nikkas was in ivy league and elite schools where FB first started? :laff:

Why is it that the only things you can count as a claim to fame are things white people have done? But in that same tongue, double speak about how hard your generation is?

Is it black girl lost or shorty owe you for ice nikka? :cmon:

One minute you nikkas are "hard" and not accepting of "soft" (which is code for middle class/white on here), the next minute you're the reason FB exploded because you're so tech savvy and culturally accepting/curious. :troll: :camby:

You're posting about having an .edu email one minute (which would mean you are in college, being educated, and in a culturally diverse/soft environment) and then next minute talking about being "hard". :heh:

Y'all "soft" as well and even worse cause your generation has no purpose and has no ideas how to use the tools given. 99% of this board couldn't get a popular trending topic going for shyt and whenever I see y'all post your twitters up, you have minimal followers and ya jokes ain't even funny. There's no "community" around you.

The only reason FB blew up is because they opened it up to people of my generation.

We elected the first black president. You 80s babies were too busy clamoring over hip-hop being dead while my demographic came out in record numbers for a cause changin' this country :jawalrus: :wow:

This is what I'm saying. This is why our generation will be great. We are a very solid group when you compare us to generations prior. Probably because the internet has exposed us to so many facets of life. 20 years ago, a hood black guy and black guy from the really nice suburbs could not co-habitate or get along. Can we really say that today?

nikkas sayin' our generation is poor, but look what generation we come from :damn:

Of course black people don't have much of anything after the 80s generation. You all fukked up because you're focused on being "hard" and all the other street shyt. Only thing is, you all were content with that, which is why a lot of 90s babies don't have anything. 90s babies barely have their foot in the door of the working world. Not even 2 years in yet so of course we don't have an economical impact just like every other race of our age group. That's a given. If there's anyone making black people poor, it's the bum ass 80s babies because they are of age to have viable careers.

How TF are you gonna blame the black community being poor on people who aren't even old enough to work yet? :laff:

Our generation is creative as fukk though, and definitely more accepting/solidified. We will go a lot farther in the long run.

I defer to @DaChampIsHere for the rest of the thread ... :wow:

Mexicans were not systematically put into slums where there are lack of jobs, education and other resources. They have had more volition and cognizance than us by design not by our negligence.

Our best and brightest tend to leave us in the dirt. The Chinese elite setup "Chinatowns" and put their people on.Where is our shyt at? Can't expect poor, uneducated Blacks to come to their senses if our leaders not even giving a fukk.

a lot of those immigrants might not even necessarily live in those enclaves BUT they still patronize and/or invest in the community.

Like for instance, you'll have a Chinese family who moved to the suburbs BUT they still run their business in the neighborhood and still hire people from the community.

This is why Kanye will be one of the GOATs at the end of the day.

I remember being in high school and having a rap artist that I could seriously say I kinda looked up to.

Facts? Ok then let's talk about the fact that society has recently made the hard push to emasculate men. Whether it be this forceful pushing of the gay agenda in media, the rise of the metrosexual male and the acceptance of male artists wearing female clothes. The rise of the simp rapper, who leaves drunk voicemails on their exes phones, or tells yo it's not tricking if you got it.

Even if back then people wore tight clothes, men could be men. We drank, we smoked and we fukked. Now you can't even smoke in a bar and there are actual studies done on how brains are being rewired in kids from internet porn. They no longer get turned on by living females!!

So now you have a gay loving, female clothes wearing, non smoking, sexually retarded, ADHD having youth culture. And y'all mad we call y'all soft? Really breh, that's the least of y'all problems :mjpls:

gay agenda is not the same as making folks gay.

1. there are always gay people

2. those gay people will continue and have always existed.

3. They're just trying to be themselves without strife...NOT face undue bullshyt because of it.

dawg, you cant really blame 80's babies for the fukked up situation blacks are in.
I mean lets do some math here, they ain't that much older than us (assuming your a early 90's baby like myself).
Plus Most 90's babies are still in college or in high school too... just sayin

:dead: @ all these people from the same generation arguing with each other.

:dead: @ 80's babies being born in the 70's
LOOOL exactly for me you'd have to be 13-14 years old to be from another generation... the fukk kinda argument would that be.

me: "you fukking punk ....p*ssy"

kid: *hangs self in closet*

The difference between me and an 18-19 year old are due to rapid changes in trends, media, tech, shytty upbringing
but we are the same generation.
