Kanye is an outspoken guy. He has made quality music for almost a decade. He's a trendsetter for those that like to follow trends. Kanye West is arguably the biggest Hip Hop success story of this generation when you look at his ENTIRE story. He worked hard, paid his dues and made the right decisions, the most important believing in himself and willing himself into the position he's in. For a long time this guy's drive, focus and passion was one of the reasons he was about to be my new GOAT....
2013 hasn't been a good look for Kanye. Or has Kanye not been a good look for 2013?
Is Kanye West really a misunderstood genius or another nikka in his 2nd Childhood?
It's time to answer these questions as an adult because College Dropout dropped when I was 17. This is entertainment but it's also influence so I just want to be clear on what we're really looking at here.
What is this nikka talking about at any given point in time anymore?

This isn't about his ability to make good music anymore....I don't really question that. Kanye has enough passion for hip hop to last. I'm just honestly confused about what his purpose is. It seems like he forgot his own wisdom "even if you in a benz you still a nikka in a coupe" and is fighting so hard for them to see that coupe as a benz. I don't he cares about the craft as much as he cares about being accepted into high society now. He wants to be apart of a club that will never grant him access. He's new money and is intoxicated by his new stank, while they're actually revolted by it.
Kanye West if you read this, you are the biggest star on the planet but it hasn't been because of Hip Hop. It's because you keep emasculating yourself in front of the world under the guise of being a revolutionary. How did it go from "drug dealers by jordans crack head by crack and the white man get paid offa' alla that" to fawning and damn near begging for these european cacs in the fashion world to like and accept you?
Ye' will never hear or read this and even if he did he'd reject it. His cac hipster fan base will continue to praise his elusive genius, furthering his delusion. For this reason, Ye' is doing bad out here. His ego has always been big and his music has always been crack. But he got a taste of massive cac critical acclaim and it just magnified his ego to truly dangerous levels. It's dangerous enough to take him to where he feels he wants to be, but at what cost?
This is an industry that breeds self destruction, especially those with large ego's. He built the Spaceship he always wanted with College Dropout and a decade later it looks like he's constructing his own glass ceiling to crash into....or through....
but again....at what cost?
the irony of the man that brought "soul beats" back to the forefront, leveraging that sampled soul....to gain the world...and lose his own.

. Lots of black males, especially in the 80's and 90's were readily put into "slow classes" with no real justification other than the fact they didn't want to have to deal with them. That's a entirely different subject, but I know alot of intelligent cats now, who in middle school were in that class that was only one class....all day.
If prison doesn't get you first, the public school system does an excellent job of singling individuals out to systematically make them feel less than. If you remember back around the time of Late Registration, Kanye was doing all of those free shows for the Chicago public school kids who got good grades. I think back then when he really did have an inkling of of revolutionary in him, he wanted to motivate kids because he knows what it's like to be predetermined to fail. This is where his huge ego comes from. He constantly has to prove that he's worthy....but this isn't public school....
. . what if the fashion designer essentially had a record deal?
