Forgot about that:francis:

It's not like the Pistons were written out of history. They're just not as interesting as the Celtics, Lakers, or Bulls. They didn't win as much as they did so they're not getting a celebration.

It's like the Rockets winning two in the middle of Chicago's two 3 peats. If you're team or it's stars aren't loved by the masses you're not getting love. Zeke just isn't a star like that and all those PR disasters he was a part of don't help.
I have seen teams win less get more celebrated, my issue is just the way they describe the team rather than appreciating it. They just describe it as a dirty team, that team did beat the Celtics/Bulls/Lakers..the 3 main dynasties. They should get more love by NBA but I can agree with they don't have a big enough star to get that type of love.

That is a issue with how NBA tells their story imo, should be more team celebration rather than individual.

Pistons were beating The Bulls when MJ had no team. MJ was the best player in the league despite the playoff loses. He averaged 27, 30, and 32 in the three series they lost. Once Pippen ascended Detroit was lightwork. They swept them, ended their era, and won 6 titles.

Again Zeke's mistakes in his post playing career messed things up for him along with the fact that other players in the 90's overshadowed him. It wasn't a documentary.

So why are nikkas still visibly upset 30 years later then? Zeke and Pistons still occupy space in Jordan and the Bull's heads because of the literal and figuartive domination. MJ was the best individual player, but that still didn't stop him and his team from being dominated by the Pistons. Mike is tight because the Bad Boys are the only entity that don't bow to him. The media is riding with it because Zeke is an easy target. I agree with Bomani that the Bird shyt plays a part in it too.

Again, Mike and other players have made mistakes in their playing career. That is a cop out. And if a player is overshadowed, why would you expect a deep dive into their overall career rather than just discussion of their most relevant period?

It's actually low key sickening that the NBA and ESPN and mainstream media still insists on pushing their Jordan narrative to the point that now young fans who weren't even around then now hate Isiah Thomas.
Somebody need to school the youngins that Isiah was that dude. There is no bigger MJ fan than me, but the handshake thing? I kinda liked the way it ended. They're the Bad Boys! They do unruly shyt! Let them keep that same energy right to the end. Its the perfect ending to their story.

:dwillhuh:

Outside of this doc, when have you seen Jordan speaking on the fukking pistons this decade?

I can pull you up multiple clips of zeke, salley and laimbeer with Mike's name still in their mouth. They talk more about mj than of their titles over the lakers and blazers. Their championship was beating mj and the bulls:heh:

Mike lives in their heads

So in other words "Outside of this thing that clearly supports what you are saying (well actually provides the basis and can't be argued), what else you got that supports what you are saying?"

I am not the one trying to act like it's not mutual.

Outside of this documentary of mj where they are asking him about isiah, show me an interview of him even mentioning isiah, bill or salley's name. Just one.

You can't live in someone's head when you never bring them up. Mike's name stays in their mouth though. Funny how you don't see that.

When you are the GOAT, a billionaire, with 6 rings and you are still visibly tight about a fukking handshake from 30 years ago...nikkas live in your head. Once again, I never said it was one-sided.

Lol @ your name. You're all about bullshyt and bullshytting.

You can have a reaction to something in the past without it living in your head:dahell: You can be going along with your day just fine and then someone mentions a person you hate, and your whole mood changes. Clearly that doesn't mean that person was on your mind the whole day

So lol @ Mike being tight. Isiah stays on espn, fs1 nba tv bringing up Mike and living on beating the bulls. Mj gets more love than isiah in his hometown and worldwide, but the Chicago love kills him. Started with the feeeze out game. Them intensified when he wasn't part of the dream team. He didn't 3 peat at the hands of mj and watched mj 3 peat. Twice.

But mike is tight. You're highlighting the wrong person.

No need for ad hominem. If you feel that way, no need to interact with me.

You just said yourself he is still carrying hate for this man 30 years later...over a hand shake and you are telling me that he's not in his head? No one thinks about anything all day...that's reductio ad absurdum. Being in your head means a person has the ability to alter your mood...30 years later aka what you just described.

I gotta call out the bullshyt that's polluting this board.

Again, you can hate something without it living in your head and without it affecting your daily life:dahell: Please don't tell me youre this stupid. I hate racists. Does that mean they live in my head?:skip: I hate cops. Do they live in my head?:skip:

Living in your head is constantly having someone's name in your mouth 30 years after they dethroned you, it doesn't mean reacting a certain way to something. Humans react to things they like and to things they don't like. It's called emotions. "Visibly tight":mjlol: mike lives in zeke's head ever since the freeze out game.

Go to school.

Mike brought up Isiah in his HOF speech and he said in documentary that beating the Pistons was more satisfying that winning the championship. HIS FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP.

Speaking of living someone's head, Joe Frazier was often accused of that Muhammad Ali lived in his head because he hated Ali and didn't bow to Ali greatness. (I'm paraphrasing) He responded by saying that "I don't talk about Ali everyday, but if somebody asks about him, I'm going to give you my opinion of him.
