Oakley isn't a HOF but he was a good player for the Knicks. Him and Horace Grant were both pretty underrated imo

:mjlol: How old are you breh?

Putting Kerr as a player in the same sentence as Stockton:mjlol:

Oh and Stockton didn't get a ring because you know, that guy, the GOAT MJ beat him twice.

No, he didnt get a ring because the bulls beat the jazz and because stockton wasnt good enough to get the job done, he wasnt even the best pg in his division

It's as if you just didn't like watching that Knicks team or how they were put together from a fan's point of view. You're not really making a point here tho. You're acting like Richard Jefferson isn't on the current NBA champs squad. You're acting like Tristan Thompson isn't their current starting center. Like Channing Frye isn't depended upon. Like JR Smith isn't their starting 2. Like they aren't playing Deandre Liggins right now. Like James Jones isn't on the roster. Those are all players who are either past their primes or just not that good to begin with. They're the current defending champs though.

What's the source for this claim? When did you poll NBA players on their opinion of how hard it is to score on the zone? Zeke is pretty clear In this clip.

The zone is a gimmick/junk defense. There's a reason that most teams only use it in spurts if at all. Yea it can be hard to score if you haven't seen it in awhile and aren't used to attacking it. That's the point of it though, it's a change of pace.

The zone is used to hide deficiencies. If you can't guard a team straight up man to man, you go zone. Other than Boeheim who uses the zone as a base D? Personally, I think that the zone was allowed to globalize the game and make it more non black friendly. The zone is definitely not a more effective defense then straight up man to man.

And what I find funny is how you completely avoided Dr. J and Bird saying the league was watered down in the 90s.

lol you put Steve Kerr in the same sentence as John Stockton breh. You obviously didn't watch basketball back then.

Kerr, as much as I liked him in Chicago, was never the integral part of the offense. Stockton was basically running the entire show in Utah. I hated the Jazz, but to say all he did was pass is just lunacy.

I wonder how many games Kerr got 20 points and over 20 assists in a game while making key steals and blocking mofos shots.

And he didn't get a ring because of that guy on the Bulls, you know the 6 time finals mvp, highest finals ppg, killer instinct guard the GOAT MJ. MJ prevented a lot of hofers from getting rings, because you know, MJ WAS THAT GOOD.

And I already linked just one moment where Stockton hit a clutch shot, contrary to what you thought but obviously weren't around to watch live.

Kerr himself would slap you for thinking he was in the same class as Stockton:mjlol:

And that's where your ignorance betrays you, seriously. Horry has multiple rings too but he wasn't better than Stockton.

You're acting like Stockton and them Jazz teams sucked year in and year out, they got to 2 finals, they lost to MICHAEL JORDAN. They were consistent playoff squads, they beat them Rockets, people forget in 1998 Stockton hit a 3 to give them the lead less than a minute left, MJ just did his thing, scoring, then stealing the ball from Malone, then hitting "the shot".

Stockton has the most assists in history by over 3,000 breh. He also has the most career steals in history.

It's just like you saying Oakley is a hofer, us older heads watched these peeps live, Oakley ain't no damn hofer mane lol

And all that STILL dont equal 1 damn ring, which means he just wasnt good enough, nothing but a contender

NBA players saw the zone as harder to score on, but here you are calling it easier

Individually zone is harder to drive and score on but as a team zone is much easier to score on. Ball movment and drive and kick kills zone every time.

If anything, the Jazz proved that the 90s was trash because Stockton and Malone couldn't sniff the finals on the 80s. It took the league to get watered down and the great 80s teams to fade away in order for them to make a finals appearance. :mjpls:

Yeah you're basketball knowledge is basically shot lol. Compare Kerr, a borderline bench player who got rings by playing with GOATS like MJ and Duncan and didn't run offenses, to John Stockton, a lynchpin of the entire Jazz team, a Dream Teamer, holds records by large margins in assists and steals, and lost 2 finals to the GOAT MJ.:mjlol:

No problem, the comparison is this

1 has like a handful of rings as a player and a coach and the best 3 pt percentage in history and the other was good at passing the ball

No it's you think a 2nd tier role player who got rings by playing with GOATS and not being a main part of the offense is deserving of the hall of fame vs a pg who ran the entire offense, has multiple records, is a better player by a wide margin.

Again, even Kerr would tell you to stfu comparing him to Stockton
