Live your own life
You're p*ssyfooting around my question. I asked if X is more successful than jay. Did I ask for random statistics that aren't even true? No. For everything you mentioned musically, jay has outdone X 10-fold. Multiple movie deals with leading roles? Belly, which was never mass-consumed (and never intended for that) and Exit Wounds, a utter and complete flop? Not to mention every movie of his is catered to a black audience and not supported by white people.

So how am I wrong? Isn't jay, the "safer" black man more successful than x, the "threatening" black man?

:dwillhuh: Good lord, You have no idea what you are talking about; how can a black man who is a habitual crack addict and always get lock up every year be a threat to the white man ? :comeon:

all that needed to be posted was this

https://twitter.com/i/#!/search/kendrick lamar

don't know why people don't do things like this quicker in these types of threads. obviously theres some white/misc heads in there, but i'm scrolling down and the overwhelming majority of what i see is black teenage males/females tweeting about kendrick lamar. I'll assume they're fans aka members of his "audience"

Exactly that was painfully obvious and I don't see how someone cannot see that while writing things like that.

Especially Wu Tang(that isn't a diss to Wu tang though) they love stereotypical rappers and not always "safe rappers".

Which is why occasionally you will hear nonsensical comments from people saying things like "Ewww you like Nas......he's so boring all he does is talk about egypt and pyramids....ain't no one want to hear that shyt"

we wanna hear ignorant minstrel music from Gucci and Fiddy

Yes...a C.A.C.'s dream, no qualities of a strong black male, plus he's completely non-threatening and they love that shyt: short, looks like a child, voice sounds like a child, doesn't dress or act like a "gang banger"

C.A.C.s look at Birdman rubbin his hands together and think :sadcam: "is this guy gonna shoot me, rape my girl, or both?"

C.A.C.s look at little k dot with a happy-go-lucky grin and think :smugfavre: "he's harmless, he's safe, I like safe"

:krs::russ:
Im black and i like the lil homie but this statement might be true about the general public

...and when they done with him, they get a new nicca to replace the old one. Record Execs are:win: for over 2 decades over this.

"They'll be a new nicca next year" Ice Cube.

Kendrick can benefit from his "safe" image if he plays his cards right. You need a little of everything to be successful in the long term, in entertainment. Ask Will Smith.

Cacs used to love them some 50 sure. But, 50 a "threatening black man"?:lolbron: No, he was never threatening to white people. Just look at the video for in da club. White people view him as the love child of a white man and wannabe white man who pull on his strings controlling him like a puppet. Who would fear a black puppet a white man controls? On the low, every white fan loved eminem even that much more when 50 came along because em gave them hope of being the presiding force over a black man in these post-slavery times while still being able to say "i have a black friend tho."

Now, the other 2 I mentioned, birdman and x, those are threatening black men to white people hence their career limitations, but 50? :scusthov:

I respect your opinion but why? Isn't everything I said right? Don't white people love the "safe" rappers over the dangerous ones? Isn't k dot "safe" looking compared to other rappers who whites would be afraid of?

Example: Why did jay-z take off and not dmx? They both came out at the same time and had great albums. X never had the popularity of jay simply because a goofy camel face looking guy is non-threatening, a jacked barking crazy black guy is scary.

Don't white people accept those they can identify with more? There are countless other examples especially the king cac: eminem.

:snoop:

Gangster rap was huge in the 'burbs back in the 90s. To the point that magazines like Newsweek were doing covers on it.

CACs love DMX's shyt, what the fukk is this retard on about? :what:

Maybe if we were talking about bodhráns I'd take you seriously, but this is hip hop, don't speak on something you know nothing about.

maybe x is poppin in Gingerland :yeshrug: but everywhere else, he's long forgotten. That's all, I now permit you to continue your search for your lucky charms.
