To be fair, boxers would be dropping like flies too if they introduced year round USADA testing. Maybe not as bad as MMA, but they would be getting caught on a consistent basis.
Just as bad...

Sports is RAMPART with PEDs...And it is not only sports, I have classmates on Ritalin, Caffeine, Meth, Cocaine and other stimulants all trying to get an edge on each other...

If you think a university student will be tempted to take PEDs but a boxer with EVERYTHING on the line isn't, then you are disillusioned...

USADA will KILL any sport...With no exceptions...The UFC is in a BAD position...USADA will diminish the quality of their product, but if they get rid of USADA, then people will be convinced that EVERYBODY is on PEDs...

Best thing is to allow PEDs between fighters who agree and sign a contract to void USADA testing for their bout...

Ufc 200 was trassssshhhhh

:russ::mjlol:

Boxing numbers killing Ufc

What numbers?

Deontay Wilder, the HW champion of the world drew an overnight of 1.45 million on network television (FOX). The final numbers were better (1.8 million), but that's still terrible for the HW champion of the world.

To put it into perspective, the last UFC on FOX drew 2.13 million overnight and a final number of 2.5 million with no champions on the card. And that card almost doubled the viewership of PBC on NBC which drew 1.24 million overnight.

1.24 million overnight on NBC is terrible for network ratings.

Looking at overnights on TVbythenumbers, Nitro World Games on NBC beat out the PBC on FOX card with Deontay Wilder. A BMX/motorcycle competition drew more people than the HW champion of the world.

UFC does 2.5 million viewers for UFC on FOX 19 event

TV Ratings Saturday: ‘In an Instant’ is the best of a soft bunch
TV Ratings Saturday: UFC Fight Night battles to the top
Wilder vs. Arreola averaged 1.8M viewers on Fox - Boxing News

Breh up until 2014 the only free boxing on TV was ESPN FNF and Solo Boxeo and some random FS1 shyt.

You have to give them time, and for something of the magnitude of PBC, it'll need more than 18 months. :yeshrug:

They do crummy promotion especially for the NBC cards they left that Fonfara card to die a slow death if not for this forum I would've missed. I'm glad they giving out free cards but they gotta put a little more effort into the booking of the shows. LSC vs Frampton is a dope matchup but I ain't seeing much of any promo for the fight

These major networks can put on a lot of other shows/events and it will pull in better numbers than PBC.

The numbers just get worse and worse for Premier Boxing Champions. The ratings for this past Saturday night’s card on NBC in prime time sank to PBC’s lowest in prime time...Generated just a 0.8 overnight rating, down 20 percent from NBC’s previous PBC telecast in April (1.0) and down 39 percent from the card before that in December (1.3), according to Sports Media Watch. The 0.8 is the lowest for a prime-time PBC card on network television (there have been nine telecasts between NBC and Fox since PBC debuted in March 2015). According to Sports Media Watch, the 0.8 is one of the lowest metered market ratings ever for a sporting event on prime-time network television. Every NBC prime-time PBC telecast has had a worse rating than the one before it, likely due to several poor matchups on paper.

Notes: Premier Boxing Champions on NBC sinks to all-time low

I'm trying to find a link. But I read somewhere that the 4 lowest primetime ratings of any show/event this year has been boxing.

Cause of crappy matchmaking and lack of promo they really need to get they game together. Doesn't help that boxing media picks sides left and right and stan promoters. Francesca kept it real about how sorry boxing media is they do as much harm to the sport as the bogus promoters these days. You got these shills like Steve Kim,Dougie Fischer and Rafael types that go out they way to pile on every little thing PBC does but quick to cap for an Arum or De La Homo when they serve us a card of shyt.

Crawford doing 50k :mjlol:

Wilder can't draw flies to shyt he doing Holly Holm numbers

DA DA NUMBERS :stopitslime:

LSC/Frampton bout to do 250k on Showtime at best

Holm easily did more numbers than Wilder.

A :trash: card in UFC on FOX: Holm vs Shevshenko averaged 2.97 million vs Wilder's 1.8 million average for his card. And a 1.1 rating in the key demo (18-49) compared to a 0.4 for Wilder's card. The Holm card peaked at almost 4.7 million. Can't find what Wilder's card peaked at, but it did an average of 2.54 million during the main event.

UFC on FOX 20 TV Ratings Peak with 4.687 Million Viewers for Main Event

Wasn't Crawford/Postol expected to flop badly in terms of buys, why did they put in on PPV?

Brock Lesnar got popped before they had fights lmao, so what does year round have to do with anything lmao

Also if you're not training, PEDS won't help you lmao, so they have to take them during preparation or they won't get the benefits.
